I could hardly contain my joy yesterday when I discovered I could actually click on a clip of the Flip Wilson Show and watch it, but once the news of the unblocking YouTube spread around my workplace, and the reasons for the unblocking was questioned, I found the reality a bit chilling.Yes, the real news is that YouTube "has taken care of the matter by itself" by agreeing to filter content ....

After a rousing reception as the closing film of the 2007 Bangkok International Film Festival, Muay Thai Chaiya opens in wide release this week. I understand that it has undergone some editing tweaks since its festival premiere, and I'm anxious to see it again, and to see if I'll spot the changes. Six months after being blocked for showing a video deemed offensive to the King, YouTube is back up in Thailand. I noticed it today when I was browsing The Onion AV Club while I should have been editing stories, and noticed there were no more blank spaces where video clips are posted.
