Review: Across the Universe

At times brain-melting, but mostly annoying, the conceit of Julie Taymor's Beatles' musical Across the Universe wears off after about an hour, or maybe less.The best bits are when there's some action going on during the songs. Review: Hitman

In the previews, Hitman looked ridiculous. It's basically the Bourne Ultimatum with Lurch the Trolley Boy from Hot Fuzz in the lead role. Yarp!But Timothy Olyphant makes the best of what he's given, and for the most part overcomes the fact that his head has been shaved and he has a UPC symbol tattooed on the back of his noggin. Doug Ray Scott is taciturn and weary as a dogged Interpol agent, who's tr....
