Forgot to mention another film opening this week in my earlier roundup. It's The Bridge, a documentary about why suicide victims are drawn to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. With camera trained on the famous span for all of 2005, director Eric Steel caught actual footage of people making the jump that would end their lives.

Criticism of this film fall squarely into two camps: Those that say this film is exploitive and immoral, and those that point out that Steel actually called the authorities when his cameras caught anyone doing anything suspicious, and that the film is a fascinating dissertation on the subject of suicide.

Myself, I'm not sure I want to see this. But for those that do, The Bridge is playing at House on RCA.
