The free screenings of the short films for His Majesty the King are being shown at 2pm and 8pm daily until Wednesday at Paragon Cineplex. To obtain the free ticket, you must go to the table with the display for the Short Film Project. Don't go to the box office - they are only dealing with taking money for regular screenings and don't even have the short films listed in their computer.

The films are also playing at Major Cineplex Pinklao, according to a report in the print edition of The Nation's Weekend magazine, but I am unable to verify the showtimes or the ticketing arrangements at that venue.

The Short Films Project in Commemoration of the Celebration on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary are organized by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture of the Ministry of Culture.

The program comprises:

  • Luminous Sound by Pen-Ek Ratanarueng
  • Meteorites by Apichatpong Weerasethakul
  • Norasingha by Wisit Sasanatieng
  • My First Report by Bhandit Rittakol
  • 9th Gift by Araya Booncherd
  • The Sanctuary of Sea by Pramtanee Wongprommed and Supharut Boonmayam
  • Silencio by Sivaroj Kongsakul
  • The Tale by Pornsak Sukongkarattanakul
  • The Most Beautiful Man in the World by Phuttipong Aroonpheng
