Veen,

Alan smith was a Leeds supporter as a boy always wanted to play for Leeds untied when he grew up and he did. He worked his way into the first team and was Our one shining light after the mass clear out (I have already mentioned).

Often a passionate hot headed reckless tackler he and got too many bookings and sendings off but he was a great player for us and never stopped running and trying and was brilliant at times.

Whilst others were dropping their heads he played his guts out trying to get Leeds out of being relegated. Regretfully he could not save us, but not for the want of trying - he gave us 100%.

Man U wanted and bought him after we were relegated. Normally Leeds United supporters would have hated him for going there of all teams (and a some did big time) but most remembered how loyal he had been and how hard he had worked at Leeds and realised he was too good to be with Leeds in a lower League. Additionally he did not seek leaving Leeds

He deserved his chance with Man U. He was then competing with many great players and a large squad. His goal scoring was not as great but he was responsible for making so many goals for others (he never was a selfish striker, he was a team player). He made his mark and became very popular with the Man U. fans. A horrendous freak injury on the field nearly destroyed his career at a very young age. Alex Ferguson (Man U. Manager) said it was the worst injury he had ever seen - completely accidental blocking a shot broke his ankle extremely badly. He was lucky and came back and worked very hard to get back to fitness and into the first team again.

He was later transferred to Newcastle United (do not know why -maybe a change of direction by Ferguson or maybe another player was favoured in his position).

I believe he is still at Newcastle although as Leeds United is now 2 divisions lower I do not follow or keep abreast with the Premier league any thing like I used to (hurts not being involved there any more)

I will always have a soft spot for Alan. Until transferred to Man U. He was Leeds through and through.

Catch, C55.... hope you follow my fffff-ing guide congrats that you made it this time. It was a good time, was it?

Yuri remember me or my shirt? I'm sure he won't remember much. He was the last to arrive. But of course, I remembered it well....

Dave, wow... that a whole lot of football commentary coming from your correspondent with Catch!! I've learnt that your team and Man United are rivals. My latest memory about Leeds was the former player Alan Smith - doesn't he cute?

Catch (56)

I used to physically supporter Crystal Palace from 1968 for a few years. My local team only 3 miles from home)

Got promoted 68/69 (so good timing). After that they were in the top League with Leeds by far my main team (conflict but I always wanted Leeds to win (unless a situation occurred where CP needed points to avoid relegation and Leeds did not need the points).

MY cheekiest moment of my life.
Went up to Leeds in the Crystal Palace Supporters coach (coz very cheap and it was my first year in work at age 17). It was first ever visit to Elland Road (Leeds United) (first of only 3). When I arrived, I left the CP group and bought a home team ticket and scarf and many pennants badges etc. (advance tickets not needed those days). Enjoyed a Leeds united 2-0 win and went back home happy on the coach. Trying to look not too happy and even harder to hide my purchased goodies. It was very uncomfortable hiding my NEW Leeds united shirt and ALL those many pennant and 2 scarves under my zipped up anorak (boy did I overheat

My only excuse was that I was a genuine member of the CP supporter club and entitled to travel on the coach. Morally, although a minor breach in my ethics, I cannot defend myself. It was a Bl**dy cheek and I know it.

John Charles:
To be honest John Charles was sort of before I was aware of Leeds. He had two spells with Leeds One was many years the second much shorter in very early 60's and before the start of Leeds Leeds Glory Days.

I recall he was called The Gentle Giant (he was over 6 foot tall) and considered a true gentleman in the best sense.

I believe he is widely regarded as the first British (Welsh) to have any success when playing in Italy for Juventus (one of the very few overseas players to make it into Italian football at that time. I know he was very much loved there and quite a legend in Juventus History .

Did you know it is said he NEVER earned himself a booking caution or sending off (called Yellow or red card nowadays) in his whole career- Some feat even in those days when booking were not so freely handed out.

Catch (C55)

Extract .."Man U are past masters at grabbing late winners. This ability to go to the end is the difference between champions and wannabe's.."

You are so right. The ultimate master (even more than Man U IMHO was definitely Liverpool and (possibly Arsenal was better at one time).

Leeds U were also good at it, but they were not in the same league as Liverpool , Man U and Arsenal.
We instead tended to score and pull ten men back behind the ball in away matches and hold out. (pretty boring tactic bit with our defence at that time we very successful). The other team in its frustration and desperation would push more and more men forward and sometime were punished on the break.

If an opposing team's supporter, I would admire Leeds ability but be very "pissed off" with Leeds negative boring away tactics.

Trouble was, that during long periods of the 60s and 70s Liverpool were the only real consistent threat and other team at the top (although good or not Man U seemed to have a jinx on Leeds and usually beat us no matter how well we played).

Most teams were not good enough to break down our defence. I remember a match at Everton. Leeds scored in first few minutes and immediately fell back into defence and defended with 10 or 11 men behind the ball mostly around our own goal area for the rest of the match.

Everton played brilliantly. They bombarded and blitzed us for nearly the whole match but somehow we held out.

Later that day a TV commentator interviewed Everton's Alan Ball. Even in his misery and frustration he came out with a cracking joke.

Cannot remember the exact words but VERY close
"What did you think of the match and how Leeds played Alan"

"Well let me just say that after the match, when Leeds player were about to leave our ground, I went to their Team Coach (vehicle type) to see if they all boarded the coach going backward as well"

I later watched the game highlights and it was a very fair comment.

Veen 52,

Thanks Veen. Leeds need luck they are not a very good team these days. Hopefully they will come back to Glory Days in my lifetime but I feel it will be a long and slow path. What break Leeds supporter hearts is the reason for our demise. Our then Chairman allowed the manager too much money for buying players. Then when Leeds won the English top League and were doing well in the European Cup he extended the players contracts with very lucrative long term deals.

He relied on Leeds getting into the big money earner European Cup competitions every year in a row to pay for it all. When we did not a couple of years after winning the league we were so near to bankruptcy due to the wages bill, that the Chairman had to sell 13 or our top 15 players within a year (most in 6 months). Most were sold for knock down fees as the buying Clubs knew how desperate Leeds were for cash. The (essentially) reserve team that took their place could not save us from relegation and it happened again 2 years later as we had no money for buying players.

For Leeds supporter it was heart breaking. We were one of Europe and England's top club teams one minute and within two years we had no players of value and had been relegated. A Lesson to all over ambitious Chairmen (unless super rich like Chelsea's)

The real thing that galled Leeds Supporters is that the infamous Chairman (Peter Ridsdale) who destroyed our Club resigned and became a Chairman of another team. I am not suggesting he damaged Leeds intentionally, because he did not and was a life long Leeds supporter when he became Chairman, BUT his business negligence and stupidity did. He walked away pretty unscathed from his errors, whilst Leeds and its supporters are still suffering them and will for years to come, possibly decades.

One thing I pray is that if/when Leeds United does make a come back we do it in a positive football friendly manner without the extreme professionalism, cynicism and arrogance of the past that made them unloved and the most hated Team in the UK by most supporters and even neutrals.

--
Liverpool are the best team in my opinion for showing how you can be THE Team for many years and not become cynical and disliked by most.

Leeds U and Man U when at the top never have worked it out as Liverpool have.

--

Veen, I was watching that Man U V Villa last night in bed (MISTAKE).

As a L U supporter it is mandatory to hate Man U (actually its Ferguson I do not like - Admire his brilliance as the best manager ever but not him. Hate the nasty mind games he does (and mostly started) and what many perceive as verbal OTT bullying of his players in the dressing Room (well reported over time).

Anyway back to the match. I really enjoyed the first half, but fell asleep whilst the Thai studio team was analysing (which I could not understand) the first half during the 15 minute half time break.

When I woke up it was all over . Sounds like the second half was even better than the first. I envy you and those who saw the whole match.

Dave
I think the day after I was born my father took me to Leyton Orient and I sat on his shoulders. This is where my heart really is and I like their style i.e. when you call and ask what time the kick off is, they usually respond with "what time can you come?" I still follow their progress to this day, but as my head now rules my heart I tend to follow the Premier league and just like to see London clubs do well (except Chelsea).
Yep, that's the guy Peter Lorimer...wow, what a shot!! Of course for Leeds, Don revie will always be a legend. But for the remarkable talents of Don Revie, it's odds on that Leeds United would have forever remained a mediocre provincial team, meaning little to anyone, even in its West Yorkshire homeland, where cricket and rugby league were always more important. Do you remember the great John Charles who could play for his country at either centre half or centre forward with equal aplomb? How many players today could do that? His brother Mel Charles was also a great player with Swansea and Arsenal. It's difficult to comprehend that John Charles earned 20 pounds a week at Leeds and was the first British player sold to an Italian club (Juventus) for 30,000 pounds....2 days wages for Ronaldo!

Hey Veen what does ffff mean lol? - No doubt you have now set a precedent the correct use of expletives I didn't fall off the chair tonight and I was hoping Villa would hang on for a draw but Man U are past masters at grabbing late winners. This ability to go to the end is the difference between champions and wannabe's.. A draw would have been the best result for you, but at least Villa are becoming less of a threat to helping you get what you want. Great question for Yuri a suave and debonairre 007 type who surely wouldn't forget what the lady wore at the meeting. I don't recall what you wore, maybe that's because I couldn't make it at the last minute and had to opt out, do you recall that? Catch, if you happen to fall from your chair tonight, you must regret it. The Man-U and Aston Villa game is great. Who would have expected that at 79 minute, the home side is still struggling for an equaliser. Hope it ends up in draw... you know why...

DKO, I don't have much chance to follow your team but best of lucks for Leeds anyway.

C6, Yuri... maybe you're right that I sometimes wear Red shirt but hey.. it's a wrong jersey you say... Do you by any chance still remember what I wore when we met?

Who DO you support Catch (or have a soft spot for). If any one team.

Guy's name with the shot was Peter Lorimer. Famous for a shot he took in the dying minutes of a match Leeds United lost to Manchester City.

I remember the shot on TV. Lorimer had just crossed the half way line on the extreme wing. He moved a yard or so inside and launched a shot at goal as he had seen City goalkeeper 6ft 4in Man Mountain Joe Corrigan step off his line.

Even at that range with Joe getting his body quite well behind the ball Joe could only just push the ball to safety whilst he was knocked backwards off balance over the goal line.

What a shot. Deserved a goal but alas it was not and we lost.

---
Gary Sprake was an enigma. Sometimes he was the World's best, other times he started a game looking like a novice and went from bad to worse.

How can many forget a guy who lost us a match at Anfield 1-0 in the following manner. (Love the Liverpool supporters great humour ).

True story report:
"Sprake's notorious error came in 1967 when Leeds played Liverpool in a League game at Anfield. Sprake was holding the ball and was set to throw it to the Leeds left back Terry Cooper, only to curtail his throw when he spotted Liverpool winger Ian Callaghan running towards the area he planned to throw the ball. Unfortunately the curtailing action was not quite smooth enough to maintain a hold on the ball, which slipped out of Sprake's hands behind him and ended up in the net. At half-time, the Liverpool tannoy-announcer played Careless Hands, a record by Des O'Connor, apparently in reference to Sprake's mistake, and during the second half Liverpool supporters on the Kop sang the song repeatedly to Sprake (it has often been suggested that the Kop actually spontaneously burst into the song immediately after Sprake's mistake - this is a myth popularised by Liverpool supporters and the local media). The nickname 'Careless Hands' from then on, somewhat unfairly, appeared to stick to Sprake.

Final Result Liverpool (Sprake) 1 Leeds United 0

Cheers Gary

To be fair he was a wonderful goal keeper most of the time but when he was not, boy was he really bad

Supporters used to say they could tell if he was going to have a great or awful day by his first touches in a game.

It was occasionally "Oh God he's going to have one of those games". He was strange, most games he was either perfect during a whole match or awful throughout the 90 mins.

When he was "off" supporters could actually see the Leeds defenders trying harder to keep the ball from ever getting near him as he could be so bad and fumbling. They also avoided passing the ball back to him (permitted those days) even when it seemed much safer to do so

Ah those were the days - memories

The clocks go back in UK and I still can't stay awake to watch the 3rd game! Luckily, I watched the repeat at 10 am this morning and I'm really pleased Liverpool grabbed a late winner. I don't like Man U having it all their own way.
Bloody hell Dave - Leeds...their demise must have shaken you to your very foundations. Having been a great admirer of the Don Revie Leeds team icluding the likes of Bremner, Hunter, Giles, Clarke, Johansson, that bloke with a thunderess shot whose name eludes right now.....and yes even butter fingers Gary Sprake et al...it is a little sad to see where they are now. I guess every dog has its day. You are assuming I'm a Spurs supporter because I watched the Spurs game? Hell, I watch every game that invloves English teams and often the SPL, La liga and Serie A.

As you have asked Catch.

Yes Khon Kaen is a rural based City and not that exciting and at present (although fast expanding) there is not that much to do for a non Thai speaking Farang. However, its my wife's home and where she wishes to be in close proximity to her family and in an area she is comfortable and has lived most of her life.

No my up bringing although without a father from 4 years of age and short on money was not sad.

My mother was very loving (died at 69).

I have one brother and one sister. We got on like any siblings sometimes very good sometimes rivalry and arguments. My brother by nature is the sarcastic cool calm type and I was the sensitive (still am) quick tempered fiery one). I stopped being fiery and quick tempered around 6 don't know why I suddenly changed. Now it takes a huge amount to make me verbally (never violently) lose it and explode.

What tablets???
( you like your little digs Catch don't you. Maybe you should think about some) .

Football
My brother supports Spurs, my sister Chelsea, me Leeds .

Today I am very happy with a 5th straight league win (and away from home) BUT of course far from not happy how far Leeds have fallen from its Glory Days in the Top league having been relegated twice in recent years.

My sister is happy today too with her result at Newcastle).

Sadly you and my brother will not be but at least Spurs have good recent results and lifted themselves clear of the relegation area.

My brother 56 and sister 50 live together and I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall a week back when Spurs amazingly beat Chelsea. Very impressive. My sister is an absolute fanatical Chelsea supporter (has gone to all day light home games for 30+ years (A TRUE SUPPORTER).

I am absolutely certain my brother gave her Hell (could almost here the gloating from here in Thailand )

My brother and sister gloated like Hell when Leeds took the 2 relegation drops. So please forgive me Catch when I say I would be happy to return the favour.

I just love the football rivalry and banter (at a non violent level of course) Friendly rivalry whilst trying to win/survive/ get promotion is what football is all about.

(C41) Catch

I hope Veen decides NOT to delete. I think all should see what is going on. Your version and others.

As you have thrown the gauntlet Catch “I pick it up” as you have made an outrageous insinuation.. You have a foul mind and mouth Catch and please DO NOT use a reply TO ME for cowardly abusive dig at another.

If you find my answer long then don’t read it all. I don’ care.

In answer to:
Seeing that you have set yourself up Fat Pan's defender on your white charger (do you get off on the slut shorts?)

Sorry i do not have a charger nor can i ride a donkey let alone a horse. would probably crush 'em both to death anyway as I do my wonderful poor old Red and Black Yamaha Nouvo MX automatic (oops sorry is that an advert - slap on wrist - complain to Admin somebody PLEASE :18:

END of the joking

I only “get off” as you crudely put, for my own dear wife (no offence intended Pan or others) - not that that is anything to do with you Catch

Maybe I am a better man than you, by not responding in a way that I feel your foul deeply offensive, inaccurate and inappropriate insinuation deserves. I will leave others to decide on that

I see Pan and others, as human beings. You see her and some others as objects of personal sustained abuse.

====
I am not a coward and I state for the record. I hope Admin sees this Blog (and other comments you have made recently) and warns you to cut out the personal abuse. Attack the message and content NOT the person at a personal level.
====

I pity you that you get such satisfaction deriding others at such a sustained personal abuse level.

You try to excuse yourself with words to effect "I respond to comments and inaccuracies made against me. If they stop I stop".

Tell that to Pan she was quite restrained, at first, whilst you and one other attacked her mercilessly on PERSONAL ISSUES, (her looks, her size, her hair, her hubby, her clothes, suggesting her daughter must be ashamed to be seen with her) I won't go into who said which but you both fed off each other attacks on Pan and continued. (I deliberately leave out the ad & shark fins as totally separate issues)

I note even in THIS Blog of Veen’s, whilst you have made 3 comments C38, C39 C41 attacking Pan in depth in 2 of them) Pan has said nothing about or against you here). Its all you on Pan at present in this Blog

Additionally, you too ALSO comment in other’s Blogs (not only in Yabua and Pan) as you have here in Veen's. Ok, so your continued spat with Yabua from Veen’s. connected “Bye Bye…” Blog is understandable but pray tell me where Pan has attacked you in THIS Blog

Oh found a Pan comment
C3 Happy April Fool's Day!

Yep that was indeed worthy of your later wrath in C38, C39 and C41.
---

I find your reasoning for commenting on Pan in Veen’s or other blogs hypocritical and inaccurate. You do NOT need to use Veen's or anybodies Blog to reply to Pan if your comments are being deleted elsewhere (wonder why?).

All you need to do is write your OWN Blog (as you did quite happily recently to comment on some of Pan's Blogs you suspected of being adverts and Weblog policy.

You know this. I know this and so do we all.

We all know the difference between an EXCUSE and a REASON!

You said in C41
Dave - I chose Veen's Blog because Yabua had already started things here.

As I have said already, in Yabua’s case you were responding to her comments in the same Blog. That I understand, BUT not the psycho analysis you felt it worthy to try and belittle Yabua at a personal level, and irrelevant to her comments.

However merely saying you were responding to Yabua's comments in this Blog is NOT the full story.

Yabua’s comments (on this occasion) were a carry over spat between you and she (not a start) from Veen’s associated FORMER April Fool “Bye Bye…” Blog

May I remind you of the trigger (as it seems to have slipped your mind)

Yabua’s C7 in Veen’s “Bye Bye..” Blog started the spat (this occasion) with:

Well, GG...Catch....You get what you want.
Who will be the next one to leave?
Definitely not the one who should really leave.

Catch FULLY understood what Yabua was suggesting by his reply C17 in Veen’s “Bye Bye” Blog. Namely;

Yabua : Veen's April fool's joke really got you, didn't it?

But if it wasn't a joke, I totally understand where your C7 is coming from.

Ouch! It hurts but in good way.

You Catch however gave Yabua a real mouth full and the ENSUING spat spilled over into THIS follow up Blog of Veen’s first Blog, THAT is why Yabua commented in this Blog but it was a "carry over" not a “first strike” as you infer.

May I remind you that in several cases, YOU started the war BEFORE retaliation occurred.

Your victims respond in retaliation or frustration, sometimes erroneously I agree, and when they do so, you jump on that fact in an attempt to justify further attacks on them at the personal level.

I may be naive but I am not unintelligent and am fully aware of these tactics. Similar were used by some on Lalida to try and remove her from the Weblog. Attack and attack and when the victim is wound up enough to emotionally retaliates with hasty words, stay calm and pickoff their inaccuracies one by one, thus making oneself seem to be the victim. Wind them up further and hopefully they will ultimately snap, go to far and Admin will ban them for you.

I’ve seen this tactic many times and from a very early age. My brother knew this tactic for use on me in my very young childhood days. I did not see what he was doing in time, before losing my temper and then he had me where he wanted me ). But I learn

We all know who gets who banned. The victims of personal abuse just fall for the trap laid for them.

Yabua’s reference C7 (mentioned above) to you in Veen’s other “Bye Bye…” Blog was wrong and mistaken in referring to Veen, BUT there are few here do NOT think you and another (NOT GG I hasten to add) have being doing your very best in a sustained unforgiving way to stop Pan’s Blogging certain types of blogs or getting her banned and extensive personal abuse has been used as a tactic in the attempt. We have seen yours and the other person’s comments over an over again AND in separate Blogs complaints to Admin.
I do NOT suggest all disagree with your view on Ads BUT I do suggest ALL know you are using a lot of foul personal abuse in a comments campaign against Pan.

You should ONLY be attacking her Blogs you have a problem with. Admin have not accepted your wishes but still you fight on with personal abuse. If Pan attacks you nowadays what do you expect.

You may continue with the personal abuse on me but I will not speak with you again ON ANY SUBJECT (that should please you )

--
By the way FOR THE RECORD I only know of, and only have had contact with Pan via this Weblog, never PM’d her. My comments are not not about Pan per se, but about your style and level of personal abuse on her and now others.

I will make myself clear again. I am NOT commenting on your right to defend yourself or to pass comment on other Bloggers activities or opinions within the Weblog. I AM referring to the (totally non salient) PERSONAL and continuing ATTACKS & ABUSE you use on those you are not happy with in the Weblog.

Has the World hurt you so badly in some way Catch, that you feel the need and desire to hit back and take it out on harmless fellow Bloggers in such a way, over essentially, trivia.

ATTACK THE MESSAGE NOT THE WRITER!!

Firstly, Veen I wish to say I am SO HAPPY to find your other blog was an April Fools Joke
.
You had me 100% fooled and I was reading others comment before I commented to show my deep regret of you leaving.

A masterful April Fools Veen

-----
-----
Catch,

Not bad (even for you). Veen writes a Great April fools Blog which many fell for. You wrote an impressive and very nice commentary in her other blog in support of Veen.

Then for some reason you spoilt it, by going into your recent style of "put downs' of other Bloggers, and attacked Yabua, Pan, Thanong, Windy and Yoon.

Not a way I would show my respect for Veen by using her Blog to score cheap points off her colleagues, and other bloggers.

In C38 You hoped Veen would not mind you commenting about some of Pan's comments in other Blogs. I am sure Veen would not.

However I feel pretty certain she would not have wished you to address Pan as Fat Pan every time you mentioned Pan's name.

Then not being satisfied you had another go in C39 where you very offensively turned the screw further into Pan.

By doing so you showed considerable disrespect to not only Pan, but also great disrespect to Veen by using her Blog for your nasty personal attacks on others (and you say you respect Veen).
Veen would NEVER talk is such a manner about another.

You tell us nobody is real in cyberspace. Not true and anyway that is no excuse to attack others personally the way you do. You cannot speak for others on how real it is for them. Some do not hide their identity, some half so and others are as they appear to be in their views and facts given from time to time. I feels sure only a very few here are totally unreal or are nothing like their alias writings.

When you attack personally, you ARE often attacking real people. Unreal cyber people are not the only ones within Blogs. Do you think because we use aliases we cannot be hurt or damaged by comments made by another alias? You know we can, otherwise you would not bother going after some and praising others if nobody was real or cared.

In Veen's other April Fools Blog you suggested Yoon cowardly (in respect of his Blog Site activity) because he does not comment, even his own Blogs.

I put it to you he is NOT a coward but a choice me makes. You know where he works, his name, what he looks like and his political views and leanings and he continues to blog despite constant criticism from some. Does not sound cowardly to me in the least.

Now by comparison (in respect to your recent Blog site activity) you use an alias and avatar (which is your right and wise on the Internet) and from behind that anonymity you verbally attack and abuse others personally (some are NOT using fake photos or concealing aliases) - I say not more!!!

You of course are free to attack me in reply if you feel my comments unfair or incorrect, or just attack anyway -you seem to enjoy attacking others. Feel free to do so iin as many blogs or comments as you like if it make you happy.

For me the matter is now closed and I move on.

====

Veen, my sincerest apologies for being off subject but I felt what I have said needed to be said AND in one of the two April Fool Blogs where the pertinent comments were made.

Veen - I wanted to respond to something Fat Pan said in Yabua's blog, but since Yabua is deleting my comments I cannot, so I'm taking the liberty of responding here.....hope you don't mind.

She states "Catch22 thinking I would be kicked out? Writing that blog about me getting banned and people asking me to come back...........it was the most funniest thing I have ever read!!!!"

If Fat (and getting fatter every day) Pan cares to read that blog again or get someone who understands English to read it for her, she will notice that I never said anything about getting her banned, I made a guess that she might leave, which of course she hasn't and I'm glad she hasn't.....I made a wrong call.
There's a difference between trying to get someone banned and trying to get advertising blogs banned, but obviously not one Fat Pan would understand. I have never tried to get her banned - only her blatant advertising blogs, for which she has been fooling people for a long time.
Otherwise everything else is up for grabs. If Fat Pan wants to blog about Sharks, Geese, Books or even what she does with Yummy Hubby, I couldn't care less . She just has to be prepared for the backlash to certain topics, like we all do.
She states in Yabua's blog that she han't been attacked for a while, well as far as I'm concerned if she's not advertising or reducing million of years of evolution to a bowl of 'yummy' I have no reson to go after her. However, if she now feels the need to constantly make inaccurate references to me in other people's blogs then I will respond.

Fat Pan I have looked at your two recent blogs.....yes, you are definitely fatter, just as ugly and don't visit the ape section next time you go to the zoo otherwise you might find yourself in an intimate compromising position you didn't bargain for!

There is a certain sadness and naivety about many female ex pat Thai women. I think you are right Catch when you put it down to loneliness, most Thai women start talking when they wake up and continue non stop still they sleep, naturally it is better when they have someone to talk to.

Well, she certainly endorses the comments of pissfulness otherwise they would have gone too. Obviously a lot of pent up anger and hostility underneath that seemingly placid exterior. But now I fully understand where the hostility is coming from and I'd like to help her get over it. A lot of foreigners in Thailand also miss home, it's natural....but we compensate with the cheap luxurious living, the weather, the food, going out all the time, doing whatever we please etc, and take a couple of trips home each year. And we can go back anytime we choose as most of our money is most definitely not in this country - its a fantastic country and a great life. You can get people to do things for a song, clean your house, clean your shoes, clean your toilet. With someone like Yabua, she's in a country she probably hates and has to do all these things for herself, desperately trying to keep warm half of the year, stuck inside and no friends to share those dishes of somtam and have sanuk with. She's obviously 'stuck' there until she dies or hubby dies and she has a bit of insurance money to come home with...but she might be an old lady by then and I'm sure her children raised in a german society won't look after her.
It's a terrible situation and I really do feel sad for her.

GG - I feel quite sorry for Yabua and do not want to continue battling with her.
I did realise some time ago that she is in fact a very lonely person, probably forced to move to a country that she doesn't really like and then forced to stay there due to having a hubby, children and being totally dependent.
It's hard living in sub zero temperatures half the year surrounded by thigh slapping beer drinkers whilst your friends back in Thailand are sabai sabai, enjoying the lovely weather, gathering together, eating somtam, guitiew and laughing and joking together.
Being a Thai lady can be hard anywhere, but I think it's particularly difficult in Germany - I mean, I know Yabua isn't, but I also know what most people there might think she is.
To develop a bonding with a blogsite that is mostly just a bunch of anonymous faceless avatars and call it our community, is actually very sad and her heart must ache and long to be in Thailand - you can feel the need to be with her people, her 'real community'.
But alas, I guess it won't happen and she will just have to go through life in 'her chosen community' whilst trying to maintain some kind of link with her 'real home'.
Very sad indeed but its a choice many girls make....sad indeed

Yaboa circles around Catchminator, and speaks,

"I must admit, you are a bigger a$$hole than I first imagined. I've seen many a$$holes in my life, but by far you are the nastiest."

Catchminator who now looks a bit timid replies,

"Thanks. I'll take it as a compliment."

Yaboa continues,

"Oh yes, it was a compliment. Hard to find genuine a$$holes these days. Most people are acting like a$$holes, but they don't have what it takes to be a real a$$hole. But you... you are MADE of a$$hole. A natural."

Catchminator is looking mightly pleased.

"So today, I forfeit. This fight is no more. I will concede this time, but only because I recognize a genuine a$$hole. It won't be so easy next time. And if you don't stop acting like a jerk and spread your germs everywhere in the blogs, you can bet I'll be back to give you hell."

And with that, Yaboa returns to her usual self, calm and collected, and Cathminator lowers his RPG launcher.

The turn around, and each head out the opposite way, but they know the roads in the blogville always leads to each other, and they know it is only a matter of time before round 2 begins...

Till then.

Commentator 1 : OH MY GOD! That was MEAN!!! Catchminator has blown Yaboa into outer space! He's put her on an ORBIT!!!

Commentator 2 : But No! Look!!!!

As the smoke clears, a silver lighting erupts from the crator created by the exploding rocket.

Commentator 1 : What the...

Commentator 2 : It's Yaboa!! She's alive!!!

Yaboa, who has now transformed into a giant boa, shoots out from the crator and looks directly at the Catchminator, who suddenly looked very small.

Both commentators : (Standing up) Oh look out! Here comes Catchminator!!!

Catchminator stands up from his kneeling position which has helped minimize the damage from Yaboa's barrage of bullets which have hit everywhere BUT the vitals.

Catchminator is clearly worked up, but barely keeping it calm. He dusts the bullets off his arms and legs, and gives his limbs a long stretch. Then he effortlessly pulls out a RPG launcher from his left pocket, and pulls out a rocket from the right. He loads the rocket into the launcher slowly in a deliberate motion, roughly aims at Yaboa, and without much a due, he pulls the trigger.

The rocket leaves the tube with a 'Shhoooooook'.

The rocket propels towards the target, and surely it will hit the target at bull's eye, and it surely does.

KABOOOOOMMMMM~~!!!!!!

The rocket explodes with a thunder. The flame and the smoke blinds everyone on the battle field.

Commentator 1 : Yes, Yaboa did come in with a fully loaded gun! Bullets flying everywhere! Tearing up limbs and flesh! Catchminator is hit by a barrage of bullets, but I think his thick skin is well prepared for the assault!

Commentator 2 : Yes. It may seem like a hellish attack, but it lacks the power behind the punch. Yaboa has barely managed to bite the tails of all the things Catchminator previously provoked, but she has failed to provoke anything of her own.

Commentator : And Catchminator is not the one to be easily provoked. Yaboa's final touch,

"Your nasty comments disturb us much more than any advertisement."

would feel less than a pin prick to Catchminator's seasoned skin.
