when big names slip your mind....

What is the most outrageous name that you have ever forgotten?

Me? It happened yesterday after watching “Legal Eagles” on Cinemax.
I like the film so I recommended my friend to watch it.

My phone conversation went like this:

Me: “You should watch it “Legal Eagles”. It’s not bad, an old film but interesting.”

Friend: Who stars in it?

Me: Well, that old chap – very famous star. Um…he was so famous male star. You know a kind of big star like that guy who stars in “The Bridges of Medison County”. I know you’ll know who he is as soon as you see his face.

(So far…I had no clue about the name but his face – that familiar face was all over my brain. I was so annoyed.)

Friend: What’s the name of that actor?
Me: Can you hang on a second?

(I was so frustrated. The star is very famous and how couldn’t I forget his name at this very minute. So I tried to find it on a movie website. And I got it.)

Me: You there? OK, you’re going to laugh if I say his name. It’s Robert Redford!!!!!

Friend: (giggles…) don’t worry. This shit happens all the time as for me the most outraged name that I forgot is our dear Johnny Depp!!!!

After conversation I recalled one of the most outstanding examples when Thanong (my senior colleague) saw David Backham and couldn’t think of the football star’s name.

Have you ever forgotten big names? And what is the most outrageous name that slips your mind?

Pat, I'm no big fan of both of them. My favourite actor of that time is Sean Connery_the more he gets old, the more attractive he is

Who looks older between the two tough question.... I think let me count their wrinkles first..

Lalida, welcome to the club

Catch, I think I know the answer to your question, he he he...

Vertigo, "Thanks God, you still alive!!!!!!!"

I forgot small names...Pla, Pu, Ma, Jib, Kai...OK. who can associate those names on a face? !!!

I think it's forgivable to forget Robert Redford because I don't find him hot..and David Beckham..I think his wife forgets his name sometimes....haha

as for forgetting Johnny Depp's name.......UNFORGIVABLE..!! He is so hot!

There are several movie character actors that I have seen in loads of movies. I have seen them more than I have seen any other actors, even the most famous. I keep finding out their names and the next time I see them I've forgotten. It only seems to happen with these particular actors and I wonder why?

Hmmm what DID I have for breakfast?

It's like, the name's sitting right at the tip of your tongue (a very frustrating feeling indeed). BTW (and this is all in good humour), if one happens to be either a fan of Clint Eastwood or of Robert Redford, then getting mixed up between the two is definitely a no, no. Frankly, I wonder who actually looks older, in your eyes.
