MOTHER TERESA & THE GOD COLLUSION

Mother Theresa (1910-1997) spent forty years of her life helping the poor. But almost immediately into her career she felt that God had deserted her, and He never returned. Everyone, from Catholics to atheists, are having a field day trying to explain her.This is from one of her letters written in the fifties: "Lord, my God, who am I that You should forsake me? The child of your love -- and now ....

A NATION OF RAVING GENIUSES?

ORIGINALLY CALLED "A NATION OF MEDIOCRITIES?"Are we Thais a nation of mediocrities? Is there any kind of endeavor where we have been anywhere near the forefront, whether in science, philosophy, or literature? I think we can forget about science. While Europe is studded with scientific geniuses and brilliant men and women—even the tiniest country can boast one or two original geniuse....

THE GOD ILLUSION

I had resisted buying a copy of Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion because I thought, rightly as it’s turned out so far, that I would probably be familiar with what he has to say; being an atheist in my case he’d be preaching to the converted. Besides there are books that need my more urgent attention. But I knew eventually I’d have to get round to reading his book. Last month I leafed through a copy ....
