THE RAMKHAMHAENG CONTROVERSY REDUX

A decade-long debate in Thai academic circles centers on the authenticity of the Ramkhamhaeng inscription. This inscription, incised on a block of gray schist, was discovered in Sukhothai in 1833 by the future King Mongkut while he was still a monk.
