In Bangkok, the Venice of the East, you can still discover hidden treasures. Today I invite you to discover Khlong Phra Khanong (คลองพระโขนง). Or have you been already to Wat Maha But (วัดมหาบุศย์) with the shrine of Mae Nang Nak (นางนาก), one of the most famous ghosts in Thailand? Do you know, that people come here, before they try their fortune in the lottery?

Interesting to know is also, that you will find a boat service on Klong Phra Khanong. Every 20 to 30 minutes you can drive from the pier near Phra Khanong Market (have a look at this market too!) to Srinakharin Pier near Seacon Square. This boat stops at whatever temple or mosque you would like. See on Google Map, what you can disvover along the khlong.
On this map you find also Khlong Suan Market (ตลาดคลองสวน 100 ปี), a hundred years old market with rows of two-storey wooden shophouses along Khlong Prawet Burirom (คลองประเวศบุรีรมย์) . Here the time seems to stand still. And here tOntrAnETY took a photo of these amazing puppets:
Are you hungry know for a trip to these khlongs and do you want to read more about the stories about this part of Bangkok? Then join me on Treasures along the Khlong: Phra Khanong and Burirom
