Are Thais equally treated over the seas ?

Many complain about the language problem in Thailand. But, perhaps, too long stay in the upcountry and do not know how an air plane look like, jusyt wondering how many countries in the world provide the Thai language counter in the immigration office and other government offices. Why Thais must speak English when they are not equally treated in the same way. Again, they will say English is an international language but it is not a compulsaory language for the world citizen to learn it. I wish only those with better evidence need to leave comment otherwise don't waste your time and other readers too.

Excuse me, first of all I want you to know that 90% of ppl from upcountry are in Suvarnabhumi waiting for their flights and second of all Thais only have problem to speak English. Nothing to do why Thais have to speak English. You asked about Thais are equally treated over the seas or not. Of course, yes, but keep in your mind the world is not one English country. For example, if you wanna go to Spain and Italy, you have to show your papers in their languages but not in English but also not in THAI which is the same in each other country world wide. More example, it was happened to me while I was in German embassy in Bangkok. Someone would like to marry German and she was kicked out of the office because she didn’t have the forms in German language. This was the obvious problem just because she only had those papers in English and Thai language. It wasn’t enough! And excuse me again, then why you don’t write blogs in THAI!

or just ask Gen. Sonthi to close country like Japan did it before so u don't need to speak other languages. And I personally believe that he would like to do it but then again ..where should the money come from?

btw, I didn't compare a big car and bicycle. but u already make it with Thailand and the others. It seems like you really need the world (like Thai gov acts) but the world doesn't care Thailand!

ps. Take a look in Europe; nobody speaks English except Great Britain and Ireland. Where else.. They don't need!

For comment one, please check with the court before proceeding with the 'ignorant' comment. If a person request, the authroty will help to get one. If you could prove more of the case, then can convience me.

Don't try to compare a big car and a bicycle. My very question is not in the legal issue. Don't try to shoot me down.

Dam--I do not think Thais need to speak English if they do not wish to contact with anybody of other nationalities who cannot speak Thai. Ability to speak another language can greatly benefit those who know how to, though it varies--depends on what you are doing.

I will leave you one piece of evidence then. In English law any foreigner that finds himself in court is entitled to free legal representation and where needs an interpreter. This is not the case when a foreigner appears before a Thai court, indeed at times the foreigner is intentionally kept in ignorance of the court proceedings.
Can you deny this?
