TV vs BOOKs in thailand

If you go to schools, government offices and of course the food centers etc, you should be able to see the TV sets installed in all corners. The staff will watch it and while the customers will wait. Oh, of course they said ' mai pen rai' though they are angry.This is sawadee land. Should not get angry.A report, of course a research report of a university said that the students like to watch TV  rath....

It is not easy to achieve big project if the government does not help to step in. My senior told me that the schooling hours in the past, 30 years ago is better than now. There was no free period and no elective courese. just wondering why it has such a great change?It is not clear why the MOE is getting backward, as they want the teachers to have backward design.
