Once I got an assignment to interview dating agencies. Usually, the idea of it just makes me sick. First of all, how desperate do you have to be to actually pay for dates before you even get to the restaurant? Second, I believe love shouldn't be arranged, it is just something that comes out of the blue when you are not looking. After I went on a real date, I realised I wasn't able to say if he was the one, since I haven't been looking through the dating pool. If they say there are many fishes in the sea, how do I know this guy was the one? So I registered for a date on this dating agency. I didn't expect much, but I admit I was a bit excited to see who this guy they would match me with. I waited for a week, before they call me. What they told me was this guy is really kind, has sympathy for other people, and runs a business. "He has money," the dating agency told me. Right, like I actually care. Before the date, I got lost (yes, my little plan to play the little girl lost). They gave me the date's phone number about 30 minutes before. After 50 minutes he called me and I said in my cute little voice..."OH sorry, I got lost." He was really patient and tried to help me with the way. But really, I didn't need that much help. What I learn about being lost is, all you need to do is aU-Turn.

There is nothing blind about a blind date "'I'll look to like, if looking liking move: But no more deep will I endart mine eye/ Than your consent gives strength to make it fly."- Juliet When I got there, the guy wasn't my type at all! My dating agency told me that everyone looks for a handsome or beautiful model like features in their dates, but I wasn't looking. My type of guy has to look Thai, but this guy was Chinese looking. What I like about him is that he is patient and has the kind of voice that's assuring. We sat and ordered. First of all, if you have to go on a blind date, if you are not good with jokes, I'd advise anyone not to say any jokes at all, because the person don't know you. His joke goes something like this: "I don't use this Afterwards, to make him not like me, I just talked about my last dates and how it failed. I told him I wasn't ever able to commit in my relationships which was a white lie, as clean as his tooth. I talked to my friend, and she said sometimes she would choose the person she likes, rather than having someone like her. With blind dates, you meet, and you get a first impression of whether you like or not. If you don't like him, there's no amount of personality that can really change the way you feel about that person. Blind dates just confirm how shallow a person can be. That would be me. Sometimes I have a picture of what type of guy I like and hope to meet that person. It would take me about three months to make sure I really like my blind date. But I don't have that much time to get to know a stranger, so really dating old friends or people I already know might be too conventional, but a safe choice. So actually, I wasn't nasty to my blind date. I just told him he wasn't my type, and I am sure he's really not that into me either. After the blind date, I knew the agency would ask both of us how we felt about eachother. I just told him I don't think we can be more than friends. So it was over. There were several external factors that shaped that date, which might have zapped my passion. First, that day, I locked my house and left the keys in the house. Second, I lost my Louis Vuitton purse on the same day. After that I realised I have to change myself before I could go on anymore dates. So really it wasn't his fault that I didn't have the energy to get to know him better. So that's my blind date. I believe that sometimes it takes years to get to know eachother and under better circumstances my blind date could be the one, but that time I just couldn't make the effort.
