Seri the next victim

Seripisut Temiyavej used to have a fan club, it was called: "Friends of Seri". Why did a policeman have a fan club? Because he was one of the few that people felt they could trust, Seri was the only policeman I'm aware of that people even attempted to believe when he once said "I have never taken a bribe".

Seri had a reputation as a man who would take on figures considered above the law. He once told a tale of how he attempted to arrest a local Jao Pho:

"As soon as I arrived they telephoned and sent telegrams to the minister, the Prime Minister and the MP's. The police director general changes his mind and gives me only five extra men. Apart from my personal secretary, everyone who is meant to be on my side are their men".

Despite this, Seri made it to the top of his profession and announced to corrupt officers: "I'm coming after you". For that, he was today rewarded by being moved from his post without explanation.  The PPP personnel purge continues.

It was hinted that Samak might have disagreed to it, but the order was sent from the higher command. Samak said the charges were the least severe among other options “they” proposed. Seripisut responded in saying “It’s still a long way to go…I will take back my position…If I blow the whistle, they will rise…Usually someone who removed me will get himself removed…I will get revenge.” I wondered if he was hinting another coup in the near future, if he was to take part in it.

Something really fishy is going on with the sacking of ex-National Police Chief Seripisut Temiyavej. Suddenly and out of the blue, there is a case against him alleging that he "rented out cars belonging to the National Police Force." This is really serious if it is true (which I doubt it is), and the new "acting" police chief has "already set up a team to investigate the case." Now, that is really efficient of this new bugger, whoever he is. This whole thing smells of a smear campaign against Khun Seripisut. Now, does anyone still deny that Samak and Company are up to no good in their new positions of power?

No one in the "Royally Corrupt" Thai Police Force is honest and clean. Some may be less corrupt than others, but they are all corrupt and unclean. Honest people cannot survive in the Very Corrupt Police Force in this country because they will not be accepted b the system that is well-entrenched and be able to climb up through the ranks.
