Well, first class of this week was as bored as it used to. But something new has just occurred in the class (ENGLISH READING IV) when now I am fourth year student. Today morning 3 hours- reading class, we were appointed to bring an article about whatever we want to present in class as we used to do last semester. The lesson was about article evaluating, how much we can trust news we consume daily. After read the paper we brought, we had to evaluate it together.
I brought VENUS’S VISION writing on titled ten things you should know about the election, the article from the Nation website.
As I have studied this subject in the university almost 4 years, I‘ve never seen any students claimed that they brought article from the Nation, newspaper agency. And me too, it was first time I had article from the nation in my class.
But today, it was changed. From 26 students of the class (there are 2 section class and two teachers run the same subject. I am section 2 student), 6 had some articles from the Nation website and used it as learning materials. What a surprise!!!! You know here, after i became your fan, I read the Nation and talk about the nation blog and show NINJA blog to my friends everyday (almost/as much as chance occurs/sometimes in the canteen) which a little hope that my friends may feel familiar to the news agency and become its fan.
Reading class will be run all this semester, let see how many the Nation news catch my friend eyes. ^^ For the news I brought to class, we concluded that it could be trusted 80 %. My teacher said "you have to have a room for doubt" and room for my doubt was 10% and another 10 % was for …..hmmmm….I don’t know but just wanna have more room. ^^
Other sources of article class brought were BBC (4 students), CNN(3),Bangkok post (3), China Daily (2), Google (2), The Nation (6), Petroleum.net(1), USA university website(2), National Geographic website(1), TITV website(1) and others (1)
My next mission (with very small hope) is attemp to make my friends (not persuade, I rarely do it. I have my way better) visit this community (NT weblog) and become blogger here. It is quite hard, cuz they all are afraid to write in English (though they are English major student. I don’t know why)
Not expect any comment for this blog; I just can’t stop saying what I wanna say. But I you pleased, I'll read every it anyway. ^^
It's time for my homework(10 p.m.) and has some milk. BYE BYE, have a nice dream!
p.s. The Nation welcome to our class!! \\ (*v*)//---^0^
