Can media check the corruption in schools especially the EP programme |
The father after sending the daughter to the EP programme for 5 years, finally has to pull the duaghter out of the programme and go to the normal class. Disappointment ! The father paid 35k per semester and there are only 6 foreign teachers. Each class has a number of pupils not less than 25.The kru farang is paid 15k for the Filipinos, 25 k for the white skin ( any countries) and 30k for the so called native speakers. Well, this father not only face one frustration but also the son's problem. The school that the son studies does not have the EP or MEP programme but the prinicpal wants to 'jerk' up the prestige of the school and charge each pupil of 350 bahts per semester for the salary of the kru farang, of which 3 get 25 k and 2 get 12k for 11 months. Simple Maths and this goes the long way of corruption in Thailand schools. Everyone loves the word EP programmes. For the private or international schools, this is a good investment. So many rush into Thailand to set up the lucrative business. http://www.isat.or.th/member_schools.asp And those International schools in the down south countries http://www.malaysia.alloexpat.com/malaysia_information/international_schools_malaysia.php http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_schools_in_Singapore Bear in mind the cost of living in those countries. |
