Can this be Chulas project ?
It is a shock to learn that Chulalongorn and Ramkamheng universities have such rules to upgrade the education standard in Thailand.
Salary:
Native English speaker with a bachelor degree 40.000/working month.
Other (non-Asian),European etc., 35-40.000 on neg.
Asian (non-Thai) 30.000 (we do not recruite Asians now)
How discrimination this can be ? A Singaporean's English is less comprehensive than a native speaker ?
I think this project should be stopped.

You do not need a Bachelor´s degree to obtain a work permit.

You will be hired by Chulalonkorn University to teach out side the campus in Nontaburi, Bangkok.All Goverment elementary or high schools. Visas and work permits are taken care of from day one. Non-air condition class rooms (in general). You will provide your own lesson plans according to the University/the schools core curriculum. All teachers if not been excused has to under take 3 days of training (free) at Chulalonkorn University in October. The purpose of the training is to make sure you know how to teach according to the curriculum and to understand the Thai culture. 20-50 Students per class. With or with out a Thai teacher assistant.
JP Education is hired by Chulalonkorn University/Nontaburi Government to recruite you. You do not pay us any fee. Our duty is to inform you about the project (any aspect) before you will visit the Campus to save time during your interview. We will inform you by mail and as well prepare you for the interview (go trough your documents/CV etc.). Information about Thai culture/dress code. We are also responsible (together with the UNI.) for your basic training of the curriculum. We will help you to find an apartment and assist you during your contract in any aspect.

or
no formal qualifications other then minimum 4 years teaching the age group.
Minimum Requires ment to teach in Elementary (Primary) school:
You must have minimum a High Diploma or TEFL or experience teaching.
All teachers has to submit a police report showing your criminal record before a work permit can be issued (Issued by the police in your country). If you do not have this document you are still welcome to apply, we will help you to obtain one before you start your position. Any applicant with a substantial heavy criminal record or other charge concerning sexual assault, do not be bothered to apply
Please remember all class room are non-air con. If you are a bit older over 50-55 please question your self if you will be able to work in the environment,as we will.

Next Semester Duration: November 2007 until September 2008 We are seeking 60 applicants.
Salary:

You pay for your initially Imm B VISA (You need to have min. 21 day´s left on the current visa while seeking a work permit), all other cost of visa and work permit paid by the University (ex. 1 year extension,Work permit fee etc.).
Income Tax
Tax: 3-5 % Tax will be paid from your salary
Health Insurance
A basic health insurance is provided by law after you have received your work permit. The Health insurance will be effective after 3 months of work. You are advised to obtain a second health insurance meanwhile (first 3 months) as well as an extended one after that period to be fully covered in all situation (ex. after work hours)
Time in Time out/Work load
You will teach around 18-24 hours a week (Max 24).You have to be in the school between 08.00-15.30 if not been excused from the school.
Paid public holidays
If the school has a public holiday you will not get a salary deduction salary, you will get paid for all public holidays with in the contract.
