It is a shock to learn that Chulalongorn and Ramkamheng universities have such rules to upgrade the education standard in Thailand. Salary: How discrimination this can be ? A Singaporean's English is less comprehensive than a native speaker ? I think this project should be stopped. You do not need a Bachelor´s degree to obtain a work permit. If you have applied before, please re apply again (see down below) You will be hired by Chulalonkorn University to teach out side the campus in Nontaburi, Bangkok.All Goverment elementary or high schools. Visas and work permits are taken care of from day one. Non-air condition class rooms (in general). You will provide your own lesson plans according to the University/the schools core curriculum. All teachers if not been excused has to under take 3 days of training (free) at Chulalonkorn University in October. The purpose of the training is to make sure you know how to teach according to the curriculum and to understand the Thai culture. 20-50 Students per class. With or with out a Thai teacher assistant. JP Education is hired by Chulalonkorn University/Nontaburi Government to recruite you. You do not pay us any fee. Our duty is to inform you about the project (any aspect) before you will visit the Campus to save time during your interview. We will inform you by mail and as well prepare you for the interview (go trough your documents/CV etc.). Information about Thai culture/dress code. We are also responsible (together with the UNI.) for your basic training of the curriculum. We will help you to find an apartment and assist you during your contract in any aspect. All teachers has to submit a police report showing your criminal record before a work permit can be issued (Issued by the police in your country). Contract details: This semester Duration: Now until September 2007 We are seeking a few to cover Turn overs Next Semester Duration: November 2007 until September 2008 We are seeking 60 applicants. Salary: Native English speaker with a bachelor degree 40.000/working month. Other (non-Asian),European etc., 35-40.000 on neg. Asian (non-Thai) 30.000 (we do not recruite Asians now) Salary/Contract duration Full salary November-February, May-September (9 months) during April and March you will be on Holiday and receive 10.000 each month (2x10.000). Complete semester bonus,With held 10% of the salary will be paid out in the end of the contract (September Salary). Work Permit and VISA You pay for your initially Imm B VISA (You need to have min. 21 day´s left on the current visa while seeking a work permit), all other cost of visa and work permit paid by the University (ex. 1 year extension,Work permit fee etc.). Paid public holidays If the school has a public holiday you will not get a salary deduction salary, you will get paid for all public holidays with in the contract.
