My BD with the world oldest passenger ship

.....

Last week my company offered a day off for my birthday celebration.

Actually I had no idea what to do. Most of my friends had to work cuz it’s not weekend.

But that night, reading  the forwarded e-mail from my manager made me quickly start a plan to visit the world oldest active passenger ship, MV DOULOS, well known as the worldwide biggest floating library, visiting Thailand during July 30th – August 23rd 2009 at Klong Toey Port of Thailand.

It could be a nice day if the cloud didn’t seem dark a bit. But I couldn’t cancel the short trip of my BD. With a friend studying a master course, [no need to work^^], I went by a taxi to the port. After around 20 minutes drive from my place, the ship was front of me.

“ahhhh it’s DOULOS,” my friend said. We took the first short of the day as the upper picture you saw.

I liked it though It’s not the biggest ship I’ve ever saw.  The ship crews were from worldwide youth volunteers seeking to bring knowledge and help people many ways, for example teaching languages.   If there were a chance to cruise with them, I would not lose it exactly cuz the ship could bring me around the world.  It’s my dream….lol

.

.

Two tickets were 20 Bath only! The cheapest price of ship entrance I ever stepped on.

Took a glance at the warning, No rules I could break. I can swim. I don’t climbing. I don’t smoke and I’m not a child^^

And welcome to DOULOS where books from many countries waiting its owners to bring home.

...

But after a short time the book fair strolling, the rain broke and getting harder. The crews spread out plastic plates to prevent us from the rain…. T^T

Though it’s hot a bit, everyone still enjoyed reading and seeking their books.
