 29 September 2007Has anyone seen the movie ‘The Notebook’? If not then I would suggest that you do. To me it defines the meaning of true love. I was reminded of this movie today when talking to my friends. Somehow, I recalled the day 2 years ago when I met the 89 year old Englishman, Bill, at the Commonwealth War Cemetery in the centre of Kanchanaburi. Bill had been an RAF Regiment Sergeant station....

| Over the past week I have enjoyed a mini-spending spree in Bangkok. I bought so many things and you know what? It cost me 10% of what I would have paid in England or indeed, the Emporium or Paragon. And I could have bought ten times as much stuff and still been in the mood to buy more. Why? Well because I spent my time mooching around Chatuchak. And it really is heaven for the handicraft shopper.... |

Indeed I am sure that this is a phenomenon that women in most if not all countries will feel to a greater or lesser extent.
