Located just outside the supermarket of Siam Paragon is Toast Box and Bread Talk, a famous franchise from Singapore serving coffee and toast.

Toast Box and Bread Talk.

I decided to try this for lunch.

Rice cooked with coconut milk, chilli paste, fish and chicken wings. Home made barley drink included for the price of Bht. 98.-

Fried tiny fish and nuts on top of rice.

Delicious.

My favourite drink.....barley either hot or cold....YUMMY!

Panya (c3),

Go to Te Car Park Hawker Centre on Orchard Road, I am sure you can find authentic Singaporean hawker food there.

That´s true, Xena.
And that´s why I cook Thai food almost every day here in Germany.
Even my own cooking helps!

I too ate at the Central World branch but not substantial enough for me, not meaty enough. But I'll give it a try at Paragon as I go there often, and menu looks to have more items than the one at Central World.

Food Centre there is very generous in portions though, especially the rice and assortments booth.

I was taken to one of these places in Central World, can't remember their name, by a Singaporean friend, and I was very disappointed with the service, the bread (stale), and the Nasi Lemak was very bland.

What I really wanted was authentic Singaporean Laksa, with clams. Any idea where I can find it?

Well if I am still living in Bangkok I would try out toastbox just because I am homesick. In Singapore I find toastbox very expensive.
