A Farang Guard in Wat Pho
Posted by naive , Reader : 1064 , 12:22:34   | Category : Every photo tells a story

Wat Pho 's Door is mixed art between Indian style and Chinese ceramic technique..

And the stone guard standing in front of the door is the Franke (Farang) one...

... interesting.

I think he looks like KFC guy a bit.  Especially the way he hold the club.

What do you think?

wch,i find this topic interesting, tangible evidence of civilizations past ...What i don't like it attracts the Nutters and Druggies.See the Stonehenge Dope Fest on T.V. recently.Easter Island fascinated me as a Child. So did Cave Drawings.Buildings are the Work of Committees,my Pet Hate, but Statues and Paintings are images from the mind of one Human frozen in time.

Hj
Personally I think all the stone erections is due to influence of Tugusic people that had spreaded around globe.
They built many stone tombs in east Asia, central Asia, Europe and Pacific ocean.
British stonehenge, Irish Cairn, French Dolmen are parts of theirs. Northern India received Tugus partly and the descendents are believed 'Aryan' people. Typical Russian, the mixed appearance of caucasian and mongoloid is a part of them and,
They built gorgeous,
Red Plaza and many stone architecture.
If come down to Angkorean civilization, it is the gist of stone culture. They invented amazing crane machinery that dealt huge 50 ton rock.

Aline.. It's Farang in Chinese point of view..
so can't expect it will completely look Farang much.

Some might say it's Chinese doll with Farang style

The stone is not replica of any human being, but a sort of god, being found out of 35000 Bramanian gods, lets say God of Guard, 555

A tourist is supposed to read the phamplet given together with the ticket, then such 'Farang guard' wouldn't be sprang out.

" There were a thousand pine trees when I ran on horse through the forest".

This is a chinese joke, how one can count 1000 trees while riding horse ?.
Many tourists are like this.

I saw Whitesnake a couple of times in concert. On one of the tours, they were backed up by Great White. Some people were calling it the Caucasion Tour.

Naive - are you sure they modeled these after Marco Polo? This guy doesn't look Italian at all!

What is his name ?.
A hindu-ist might answer.
It is interesting for a laity to call him 'farang' 555.
World is indeed full of illiterate and idiots.

peacefulness : If you don't like GNR version, you should try the Bob Marley version or Eric Clapton version... I prefer the Bob's version...

There's even Avril Lavigne version, but that sucks.

MX--C19 "sweet child of mine" by guns n rosese

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HlgjcRidFM

She's got a smile that it seems to me
Reminds me of childhood memories
Where everything
Was as fresh as the bright blue sky
Now and then when I see her face
she takes me away to that special place
And if I stare too long
I'd probably break down and cry

woah oh oh
Sweet child o' mine
woah oh oh oh
Sweet love of mine

(short guitar solo)

She's got eyes of the bluest skies
As if they thought of rain
I hate to look into those eyes
And see an ounce of pain
Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place
Where as a child I'd hide
And pray for the thunder
And the rain
To quietly pass me by

woah oh oh
Sweet child o' mine
woah oh oh oh
Sweet love of mine

(short guitar solo)

woah oh oh oh
Sweet child o' mine
woah oh oh
Sweet love of mine

woah oh oh oh
Sweet child o' mine
woah oh oh
Sweet love of mine

(guitar solo)

Where do we go
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Where do we go

Where do we go now
Where do we go now
Where do we go
Sweet child o' mine
o Where do we go now
ah ah aiai ai ai
Where do we go now
Where do we go

Where do we go now
Where do we go now
where do we go
where do we go now
now now now now now now now
sweet child
sweet child of mine

Guns & Roses is a good band. The recent CD by them doesn't seem to have done too well though. Last night I watched a Motley Crue concert on cable. Good show. Alot of fire so I figure they must have hired all of Kiss's road crew. Their bass guitarist has a book out - "The Heroin Diaries". Stories of the touring, the addictions and, of course, all of the groupies. It's a wonder some of them aren't dead yet.
