A Wedding Reception in A KFC Outlet! (Neither the Bride Nor Groom Worked At KFC)

Well, if the bride and groom work or used to work or met each other at that first KFC outlet on Wangfujing Rd., Beijing, then, we could believe this more comfortably, but they didn't.  They were just a pair of normal everyday Beijing residence, perhaps with some strings in the high place of Chinese government at that time.

When KFC opened its first outlet in Beijing on Wangfujing Rd at the famous Chang-an Avenue, just a stone throw from Tian An Men, it was so well accepted that, if you wanted to avoid long wait of hours in line, you might need some "official letters" from certain government agencies to help you cut in front of  the queue.

When a place is so overwhelmed with crowd and business, you certainly would need some strings from some rather high up places to get the place reserved to yourself for your wedding reception.  At least one couple did just that, buying out several hours of KFC's outlet to have their wedding reception there.

Will you go for McDonald or Burger King or Kai Yang Sanam Muay (Boxing Stadium Fried Chicken) or for Ian, maybe, at the Larb Som-tam outlet in his soi.

Tha last time I went to Burger King was about a year and a half ago. They were advertising this new burger on TV - boy it looked GOOOOOD! When I was driving into the parking lot, they had a picture of the burger on the marquee. I think it was the quarter lb. sirloin burger with bacon and cheese, lettuce & tomato. I went in and ordered one. When I got home, I took it out of the bag and I could not believe my eyes. It didn't look anything like the burger they showed on tv or they pictured on their marquee. It was half the size of what they had advertised. I looked to see if maybe they squished it down or something, but no. It was just this measley small sandwich. I must have missed the magnifying glass they put in from of the sandwich in the advertising. That was my last trip to Burger King. Tonight on tv they were advertising a double steak and cheese sub at Quisnos. Quisnos just got up here from the south and thee is one near my hojse in NH. I might go try that, but there is a sub-shop (Romano's) near here that makes the best steak and cheese subs you could ever think of.

I would vote for Burger King. Once you have been there, you would not want any more Big Mac.

I would prefer McDonald's over burger king. The fries are better.

I consider KFC to be shit food. I don't eat there in the U. S. and I don't eat there when I'm in Thailand. McDonalds in marginally better and I will eat there about once per year.
