I wish to say happy Thai new year to you all.

Since I live so far away and cannot really pay my holiday greeting to you in our traditional style, I need a favor from you.

Will you please help me pour a bucket of cold water on yourself on my behalf to wish you a whole year of cool comfort in Thailand.

Best Wishes

Piset

That fried chicken and the chili sauce certainly look like those at the shops behind Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium "gai yang sanam muay"

Very interesting!

I used to carry bags of those sweets from the market after my evening classes when my weight was less than 50 kgs. Now, I am double that weight and regret to have to just sneak a few when my children did not see me taking thong-yods, my favorite sweets.

There’s actually quite a bit in common between Portuguese and Thai cooking. It was actually the Portuguese who introduced chilies (and many other ingredients) to Thailand in the 16th century. And although they didn’t take to searingly hot food as much as the Thais did, both countries share a deep love for seafood, chicken, grilled foods and sweets, as you’ll see below. Now if only they’d introduced vinho verde, good cheese and olive oil…

Really!

Have you heard that "thong-yib" "thong-yod" and "foy-thong" three of the most popular Thai sweets were originate from Portugal during Ayudhaya Era!

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you are a qualified good chef. You seemed to have mixed things rather well in that Literary Salad Plate.

Piset-
I used to like to think of myself as Gong-sun Sheng.

Have you ever used the I-Ching ?

'Do not despise the snake for having no horns, for who is to say it will not become a dragon?' So may one just man become an army. Nearly a thousand years ago in ancient China, at the time of the Sung dynasty, there was a cruel and corrupt government. These men riding are outlaws, heroes who have been driven to live in the water margins of Liang Shan Po, far to the south of the capital city. Each fights tyranny with a price on his head, in a world very different from our own. The story starts in legend even then, for our heroes, so it was said, were perhaps the souls reborn of other, earlier knights."

Like Ian, kids have already done it for you Khun Piset. I had friends and their kids coming over, and we played Songkarn just in front of my house. My dog joined too and obviously she hated it. We had a good time today. You should be happy that your online wish come true- well, at least in my case.
Happy Songkarn for you kha
