I visited his website, not impressed at all, the guy is just a money making machine. Still good luck to him, it's nice to see Thais getting overcharged for a change

I agree with Plaadip, not funny. Anyway, it's a cultural problem as well as a linguistic one.

Well said Plaadip, just another Talking Head,Ive always wondered why we ferangs learn to speak The Kings Thai, instead of Thai Lao, when Thais seem proud to speak in a U.S. dialect and not good old Kings English.Im guilty of using Lao,but im surrounded by them, but not before i learnt Thai Thai. All these bloody excuses cut no ice with me, a blind person i know, a Thai, is self taught from listening to B.B.C. World Service, i find myself raising my standard when i speak with him.I enjoy an American accent, but only from a true Plank.Sorry Jenifer Sue,you're like Chalk on a Blackboard to my ears.

Nu Windy: Please forgive my ignorance. I don´t know the guy. Is he Thai or Farang? He seems to be perfect in both Thai and US English.
I experienced different thing though. I think not too few Thai like to say something when they are asked by foreigners although they don´t really know the answers. I mean they want to speak English. The result: Farangs get lost!!!

If she is a Norwegian blonde, 21, 120lbs, 5'8" , how do I get a farang-phobia from that.

That's very funny :D
And it's true that most of the Thais are afraid to talk with Farang. We always afraid that we're gonna make a mistake in front of them. I like the joke that he mentioned about a man who turns out to be the Chinese ! lol
