Relieving the high living cost policy.

Thailand cabinet has launched the relieving living cost campaign on lately noon of May 26, 2008. There are mainly 2 parts of the policy.

Firstly, the encouraging people income and decreasing its expenditure by using mechanism official units. For example, Agriculture and Cooperative Bank have to contribute facilities such as market place, accommodations for farmers and OTOP enterprises which enhance their market charnels directly to customers. The appropriate product price will save its expense. Moreover, the cabinet gives permission for some department of official units to work at home which it will start at the research unit at ministry of finance. The permission also include pays over load job for some officials.

Secondly, the saving energy and developing renewable energy resource policy, the cabinet meeting does not wears their suit and adjusts 25 degrees of air condition today. The cabinet approves the extending suspension excise of NGV accessories through 2012 and arranges the NGV tank builder to discount its half price. Moreover, to give tax incentive (20-25 percents excise) for automobile companies to produce or import E85 car and arranges compulsively PTT to develop gasoline E85 at the end of this year.

The cabinet rather pave the way for PTT's making profit (100,000 millions baht this year). He becomes monopoly of NGV retail now even the guarantee price of NGV very cheap around 8 to 10 baht per kilo. How will we know a NGV price 3 years later? Times will prove.

The cabinet (roughly 40 people) has done as good as their can with facing problems. Malaysia cabinet has ordered the gasoline stations around 50 kilometers from the bound Northern and Southern of Malaysia “The cheap gasoline for Malaysian only”.
