![]() Since there was an annoucement to check offices' computers, everyone in my office had to install Windows7 (because we are buying its license). However, we don't have microsoft office yet. Maybe it's too much to buy both OS and program. Therefore, we installed Openoffice instead (for now). The problem about openoffice is openning .docx file (from word2007), but I found a way from : http://www.ghacks.net/2007/12/10/ways-to-open-office-docx-documents/ I think it can solve this problem, although I havn't tried it yet (because I haven't had an opportunity to work with .docx file since I installed it). And the program for checking email I'm using is Thunderbird from mozilla. Same as Microsolf Outlook, but you have to set SMTP and outgoing server to suit your email addresses (I use this program check my office email and Gmail, actually you can set as many mailboxes as you want). But for the Kompozer:http://www.kompozer.net/, I found a threat that I couldn't insert CSS tags without a link file. When I tried to type <ull> and <il> on the HTML interface, they were gone after I looked on the design page. Even though the program looks cool, Dreamweaver's still better for generate codes. Anyway, it's okay for a person who want to learn about creating a homepage. It's easy to use and its functions are very helpful. (So what I want to say is it's not appropriate for creating a complicated website.) Anyway there are many interesting program from Mozila: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/#applications, so if anybody find a good one, please let me know. :D |
