The Old picture versus the New picture You have a picture of the world, of people around you and of yourself. Those pictures are the make-up of your life. One day you come to the conclusion you want something entirely different. You don’t want to live the life those pictures are guiding you into. You take new pictures and hold them firmly in front of you and you say to yourself – this is how it’s going to be. Now, the new pictures have to struggle with the old pictures and the old pictures which have been in power are strong. It’s a struggle. It takes time. But if you hold the new pictures firmly in front of you they will do their job. You don’t have to do it, they do it. Your job is holding on to them firmly and you have all reason in the world to do that as these new pictures come from your own choice. They were not, like the old pictures, put onto you from “circumstances”, “bad fate”, “poor background” or whatever. Most often the right picture is asleep or hasn’t come into being yet and so it’s very common to have to start with the wrong picture. You start, then, most often as a prisoner of your past. |
