Pattaya Incidence: "Blue Shirts" Must be Responsible for their Violent Attacks on Reds

I have found the vdo evidence that suggests that Mr.Newin (and perhaps Deputy PM Suthep too) was behind the "blue shirts" attacks on the red shirts in Pattaya. Here is the story:

The red shirts went to Pattaya peacefully to submit a letter to ASEAN that Abhisit's goverment is not democratically elected. That event went well.

However, when the red shirts retreated, they were attacked by the blue shirts, which were clearly with the military (watch this vdo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIJAVSuxSYI).

From the VDO, the army cannot deny that it was involved in and fully aware of the well-armed blue shirts before the red-blue clash happened. Clearly, the blue shirts - armed with sticks, batongs, even guns - were directed to create violence. The army knew this beforehand and did absolutely nothing to stop it. In fact, the VDO points out that the army and the blue shirts are the "same side". From the evidence, the blue shirts are almost certainly organized armed group.

Mr.Newin's pictures were captured at the scene (see this picture: http://www.prachatai.com/05web/th/home/16333 and watch this vdo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMqzxjcLYJI&feature=related).

The blue shirts attack on the reds injured about 10 red-shirt people, with 2 of them being shot in the foot and in the arm. The blue shirt attack angered the reds.

After the clash, the reds returned the next day to demand action from the police. They wanted to know who the blues were. While they were waiting for police response, they were attacked again. This led to even more anger among the reds and eventually to their storming into the ASEAN Summit venue.

The reason I created this blog is to provide information from all sides of the story. While the red shirts' violent acts in Bangkok in the following day were unjustifiable, the red shirts' storming into the ASEAN Summit venue cannot be understood without taking into account the blue shirts' actions.

The reds were at the Summit to peacefully submit a letter and they did that. But they were attacked by blue shirts, and none of the security forces intervened (presumably because they are the same side as blue shirts?). What was Mr.Newin, a banned politician, doing with Deputy PM and the army anyway?

If PM Abhisit calls the red shirts "enemy of the state", then the blue shirts, arguably linked to Mr.Newin and even Mr.Suthep, must also be labelled "enemy of the state." However, PM Abhisit seems to lay all the blame on the reds without even mentioning the blues, for obvious reasons.

As far as I know, the reds are resentful for being blamed for everything that happened. If there were to a true reconciliation, justice needs to be served and the truth needs to be told. Who were the blue shirts? Why were they allowed to attack the reds even though the authorities were aware of their armed presence beforehand? Were Mr.Newin really involved in organizing the blue shirts?

These are questions that need to be genuinely answered.

Hi
when poor people are protesting against those who are estimated responsibles for their bad lifes 's conditions, it is usual for high class to try to bring them into diserupte (in using provocations) : we can see this ordinary tactic everywhere.

For those who still have doubts about the blue shirts, read this piece by The Nation: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/2009/05/01/politics/politics_30101785.php

"The blue group's actions could be seen from two perspectives:

First, Newin simply wanted to help the government bring down the red group by stirring violence and shifting the blame to discredit the red shirts.

Second, he wanted to create chaos as a pretext for the military to step in and control the situation, thus prompting Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to resign for failing to control the situation."

"The blue-shirt group includes a small political party as well as people from the military and police."

"Newin mobilised hundreds of blue-clad men to attack the red-shirted protesters, which turned a peaceful protest into an angry mob that disrupted the Asean summit."

Ginola, the video shows the blue shirts followed the military up the hill. And you made a big fuzz out of it?

Ginola, show me a video where the army helped the blues in the blue mob against the red mob. That may be more convincing!

While the two mobs were facing each other at a distance throwing objects, the Red seemed throwing a Molokov.

Ginola, you know, people with good writing skill are often able to influence others, but not always, like in this case. I don't write as good as you but I'm better in reading. That's a quality a true all around Ph.D. needs to have!

expresso:

Are to denying that the vdo doesn't show that the military was fully aware and in fact was minggling with the blue shirts? Are you denying that the military did absolutely nothing to intervene the well armed blue shirts?

Go watch the vdo again, dude.

Somewhere in this blogsite, Ian said the army was throwing bodies into truck. Then, he gave a link which I bookmarked. Later on, I watched the link and it was the same link that you gave, sourced from skynewsthailand, which says nothing about the reds and the blues! What hogwash!

Ginola, your quoted link doesn't show anything except that two mobs were against each other!

Ginola, what are you trying to do here by spreading your disinformation?

You really are getting desperate like Dalmasian had said of you.

Lately, you have lost all respect from me for all the sweet talks that you have had.

The only people who condone you are those mfkers who I call "intellectuals"!

Seven:

I personally know the Shinawatras??? That's like the biggest joke ever.

I know someone who has contact with Thaksin in Dubai - and this person is not a Thaksin supporter - but I don't know any of the Shins.

massein, if your comment was addressed to Seven then I totally agree. I suspect he will not watch these videos and more simply because they contradict his beliefs. This is called being in a "State of denial".

"If there were to a true reconciliation, justice needs to be served and the truth needs to be told."
Spot on Ginola, and that's what I'm waiting and hoping to see Abhisit do.
He's made some hopeful looking suggestions in the past couple of days. Will he, can he, follow through with the actions to back up his words?

Will he make the legal changes necessary, from the constitution down, to allow the necessary truths to be sought and told?

Will he ensure, for the sake of Thailand's domestic politics and its international reputation, that justice is seen to be done impartially to all sides?

It isn't just the Thai people watching, it's the world; and history, which is waiting to write some final chapters.

peacefulness,
I hope you will let fall some of your peacefulness on Piset's recent blogs - they aren't nearly violent or foul mouthed enough yet for any decent yellow shirt.

"The red shirts went peacefully". Come on Ginola, you can do better than that. You are my enemy but you are not doing a good job these days. You need to be a better adversary.
Nobody like the red shirts anymore, they are finished. I guess you must be sad, me too I am sad, though the red shirts have lost this battle there are no winners. Is this the way a buddhist nation behaves? Why are you in such a hurry? Because Mr T is in a hurry? The poor will get their say in thailand, just be patient! Things will change, I knew that when I wrote my very first blog here. You must understand that Mr T and his family have burnt all bridges behind them, they can never return to their country of birth.

Ian, I think so too. But I hope that any sane people with a not-too-biased mind can see that the truth is not always what is portrayed to them on the media...

Oh Ian, do you understand what ct1 says? It don't quite understand the message as it seems to be in a non-human language. But I think I don't care, since whenever I hear a dog barking in my soi, I will just ignore it

You will be lucky to get a sensible debate on this topic. Firstly they will deny what the pictures show, then they will deny Newin and Suthep were there, just people that looked like them. I mean Newin would never belittle himself to sit on a motorbike, that is for peasants
