I have found the vdo evidence that suggests that Mr.Newin (and perhaps Deputy PM Suthep too) was behind the "blue shirts" attacks on the red shirts in Pattaya. Here is the story: The red shirts went to Pattaya peacefully to submit a letter to ASEAN that Abhisit's goverment is not democratically elected. That event went well. However, when the red shirts retreated, they were attacked by the blue shirts, which were clearly with the military (watch this vdo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIJAVSuxSYI). From the VDO, the army cannot deny that it was involved in and fully aware of the well-armed blue shirts before the red-blue clash happened. Clearly, the blue shirts - armed with sticks, batongs, even guns - were directed to create violence. The army knew this beforehand and did absolutely nothing to stop it. In fact, the VDO points out that the army and the blue shirts are the "same side". From the evidence, the blue shirts are almost certainly organized armed group. Mr.Newin's pictures were captured at the scene (see this picture: http://www.prachatai.com/05web/th/home/16333 and watch this vdo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMqzxjcLYJI&feature=related). The blue shirts attack on the reds injured about 10 red-shirt people, with 2 of them being shot in the foot and in the arm. The blue shirt attack angered the reds. After the clash, the reds returned the next day to demand action from the police. They wanted to know who the blues were. While they were waiting for police response, they were attacked again. This led to even more anger among the reds and eventually to their storming into the ASEAN Summit venue. The reason I created this blog is to provide information from all sides of the story. While the red shirts' violent acts in Bangkok in the following day were unjustifiable, the red shirts' storming into the ASEAN Summit venue cannot be understood without taking into account the blue shirts' actions. The reds were at the Summit to peacefully submit a letter and they did that. But they were attacked by blue shirts, and none of the security forces intervened (presumably because they are the same side as blue shirts?). What was Mr.Newin, a banned politician, doing with Deputy PM and the army anyway? If PM Abhisit calls the red shirts "enemy of the state", then the blue shirts, arguably linked to Mr.Newin and even Mr.Suthep, must also be labelled "enemy of the state." However, PM Abhisit seems to lay all the blame on the reds without even mentioning the blues, for obvious reasons. As far as I know, the reds are resentful for being blamed for everything that happened. If there were to a true reconciliation, justice needs to be served and the truth needs to be told. Who were the blue shirts? Why were they allowed to attack the reds even though the authorities were aware of their armed presence beforehand? Were Mr.Newin really involved in organizing the blue shirts? These are questions that need to be genuinely answered. |
