Government ills do not justify airport seizure

Yes, Thaksin is corrupt and evil in many ways. Yes, the PPP government is his puppet government. Yes, the government has failed to take actions to prevent violence and is hardly functional. Yes, the police is corrupt and sucks and is wrong for the Oct 7 incident as well as other incidents in which it fails to maintain law and order. Yes, the government's will to amend the constitution is not appropriate and should be criticized.

Yet, for all those ills, the PAD has no right to seize the airports, inflicting damage to the Thai economy, the Thai people, the image of Thailand and many foreigners.

Don't talk about Thaksin and the government's ills because while they exist, they are not responsible for the damage done by airport closures. Government's ills and PAD's seizure of airports are two different things. Don't talk about New Politics, because any new politics that originates from disrespect of fellow citizens is absolutely wrong.

I am a Thai citizen and I shall use my right to condemn the PAD for its closure of the airports. I will condemn it every day until it moves out.

And to be fair, I shall condemn the government too for failing to act in the interest of the country and for doing everything to protect its own interests.

Someone should have told Gen Chamlong they were going to disband all these political parties. So now Gen Chamlong and Sonthi became a terrorists for nothing. Any one wanna bet these terrorists ain’t gonna serve a day in jail mover over they ain’t going to be charged for any crime. Man! These people are creating really good values in the society.

Peacefulness: I was wondering where you have been. Good news huh? So no more Somchai. Will the PAD move out of the airports?

Do you see now that politicians can be punished by legal means? What's the need for airport seizures that inflict costs to other people?

Pomjuk: Indeed it isn't smart to fight lawlessness with lawlessness.

Sul: I agree. Violent attacks on the PAD or anyone for that matter is to be condemned and must be dealt with. While I understand that these attacks add to the PAD's anger, they do not at all justify the PAD's breaking the law, ignorance of other people's problems, and abusive/violent attacks on others (like intimidation of reporters).

I think it's silly when I hear PAD supporters respond to criticism of airport seizures by saying: "Why don't you criticize the government? The government has done more bad things that the PAD. There have been violent and deadly attacks on PAD. The government should be the one who is condemned." This is like saying that "Because you are bad, I can be bad too." (or fighting lawlessness with lawlessness)

I don't think it's right to bomb the PAD supporters regardless of what they did to Thailand

Well who’s ever said it is justified? We’re just dealing people who think they own the country and they are so big and powerful that they can do anything they want regardless of the law.
