I have just ordered a set of keyboard stickers so I can utilise the Thai language set up on my computer, hopefully that will help me extend my basic skills of the Thai language. I have tried doing a few others things like virtual keyboards  and typing with a mouse, I ahve also tried using a printed keyboard map and then tried guessing where everything should be. You might even see a blog in Thai one day (oh allright that might be pushing it).
Should be fun and at least I will be able to try and send MSN messages in Thai.

See ya round

For your desk top, yes, 80 baht but 250 baht one is better because your 'farang' fingers may need some 'weight' over key (IBM fatness).

For a notebook, you can download universal keyboard program, that offers Thai script and make a card I suggested, or paste the script tags, at your pleasure,

My latest keyboard cost me 60 baht and is dual Thai/English (American of course). A new keyboard is often almost cheaper than those stick on packs you can buy:-)
I get a new keyboard every couple of months.

Thanks for the idea wch, I will have a look at how I can do that best, I had misunderstood. So are you guys serious i can now by a cheap keyboard for 80 baht over there, that is just insane, less than 5 OZ dollars, I doubt I can buy anything for that cheap here except a sticker someone else didn't want. cheap keyboards go for around $20 OZ and many a lot dearer MS ones for well over a hundred for some models
And thanks again to all for the assistance, comments and everything else

F-IT,
You didnt understand what I meant.

You type all keys of 4 lanes, each of upper and lower keys, in word program.

Make this in some graphical way in name card size,
print it, keep it in your wallet and anywhere you go, you can type them.

Do you use mouse to type ?, not 10 fingers, ?
amazing,

Very commendable effort, IT. Many farang don't bother with the effort of learning Thai at all.

I know a guy who Expat to Thailand for 5 years and can't even say a few words in Thai. (not counting the few phases that he learn in Nana Square)

Those stick-ons become unreadable after about two weeks, particularly on the popular keys.

I feel, you follow behind me,
Yes, I made a card size map of Thai scripts keyboard, and tape it at left monitor.

English-Thai CD dictionary helps much too.

Reading editorials of local dailies such as Matichon or Thai Rath is also a fun.
