My Green Roof

My home has a little area for growing plants. Same time in last year, I grew cucurbita pepo and gourd.
It grows very fast and grows out of the ground up to my roof.

The roof has a lot of space and sunshine that makes Fang grow very fast.

I think my home is cool after they grow and cover the roof.
Thay have a lot of Fangs.
At first, I used it for cooking and gave it to neighbours.

Then, I sold it at a little shop near my home.

...
But a lot remain, so I wholesale them to  market woman at the fresh-food market a little ways from my home.
At first, I sold at 10 baht/Kg, in the end price went down to 4 baht/Kg.

They have about 200Kg  and made about 1500 baht for my Fangs.

It is a green roof vegetable and help the world to cool...

Guard grows well, on such hot roof.
In the past, I tried with a vine wood (often seen in
Bangkok street bus stop), failed.

GG,
I cannot agree with you for 'green fingers'.
My wife always says, her hand is hot that cannot grow anything. Then she did not grow anything. I think she said like that because she did not like the grow plants.
She said she like to see me grow only.

For my Fangs, we use it for soup only. We made many time that make us tired of Fang.

We use to grow these a lot back home before and share them with others during "Kaubansa" or "ootbansaa" to make "Kaotum" or whatever soup is there, it's very tasty.....

You should join the crowd down my soi....

I need advice and NAMES of plants that grow indoors well. Every plant that I've been sold as an indoor plant died ....I'm talking 3 years of trying, so I must be doing something wrong!!
Big ones, small ones, all colours and photos if poss.
Thanks for letting me use your space - Travel.

Travel: Wow... you must have those 'Green Fingers'...

I can never grow anything...

They say there are this type of people, who has 'green fingers' so to speak... if they plant any seed, it will grow to bear fruit.

And then there are the opposite of the green fingers. Like me. I can never grow anything, even a cactus.

Something to do with 'yin yang' stuff...

btw, what can you do with the 'Fangs'? Make them into soup or salads? How do they taste?
