This letter started many years ago, there are no substantiated claims to original authorship and it has slowly grown in length and complexity over time. Like many offerings on the web it is a composite effort. I suspect the original source was from India, as the version I gathered 10 years ago used many Indian phrases and typical spelling errors. However, since then I have met a Jewish version.Anyway....

When I read todays news from Gaza, of a power plant shutting down and it effects, then the news from Thailand, of the bitter political fighting and threats of revenge, I cannot help comparing these two events.As a Farang, my perspective goes beyond the borders of Thailand, as a scientist my thinking goes beyond politics.What happens in Thailand is important to those who live here, yet they are only 6....

This is not a serious blog, just thinking out loud:-)It occurs to me that the resident Farang population is fairly spread out, not just concentrated in Bangkok. There are communities in Chang Mai, Issan, Pattaya, Phuket to name just a few. So some are living in PPP strongholds and some in Democrat strongholds. So my musing is this, do they tend to agree with their local political sentiments, whichev....
