How sick is Rakesh Saxena really?

Rakesh Saxena's lawyer claims he is so sick he should be granted bail. But doctors at the Police Hospital who gave him a physical checkup after he landed in Bangkok at 10.45 last night said he was physically sound and should proceed with the legal proceedings.

Rakesh claims he recently had a stroke and needed some rest before he could be put on trial here after having fled Thailand for 13 years to Canada. But police proceeded to seek a court's order for a 12-day detention. Having spent his first night in 13 years in Thailand at a police cell last night, Rakesh will be detained at Bangkok's Special Prison for the next 12 days as legal proceedings are being carried out against him.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said this morning that he will personally ask Rakesh whether all his legal rights were respected -- a rare gesture from a prime minister, prompting someone to tweet: Did Obama do this to Madoff?

In my view he is sick with stress. And stress leads to further deterioration in physical health. Marie Antoinette when she went to the gallows, all her hair was white although she was still young.

Ragesh could get rid of the stress if he were to bare all, get it all out of his chest. By doing that, he should get lenient treatment by the courts, because he would have contributed to the cause of anti corruption. He has done a lot of harm, jerking everybody off, including the Canadians, for 13 years at least. So it's natural that karma is working its way. There is only one way to dilute karma in this case, and that is to reveal all and repent. This is the standard global formula. But if he is pig headed, he might even get cancer thrown in.

People say he is the fall guy. If he is, that's the more reason to spill it all. Taking bad secrets with you to the next life guarantees that you will have to repay your karma then, and that might be even more painful, as you'd be born a lower state of being. But the problem is these types—slaves of globalization and conventional science--don't believe in karma and the next life. Too bad. Too bad for everyone.

C5, K. Peacefulness Thank you. I did not understand why Thanong still used initials to mention those politicians. Their names came up on the papers or even in the parliament debate, in those days,I guess.

Tony, rakesh was instrumental in each and every deal transacted by BBC. Kirrkiat a spoilt man just let rakesh use his 'authority card' to pass/allow the release of funds.

Tum dee dai dee; tum chua dai chua - rakesh is frail and semi-paralyzed, Kirrkiat has cnacer of the larynx which he has elected not to treat so is slowly dying in his home in Chaingmai.

Both will not see the end of their trials and will not face human punishment; they face a 'higher punishment'

Pity that they just don't admit sole fault to allow their underlings off the hook. Some of these subordinates were just caught up the dragnet and now suuffer strain and anguish for charges for crimes that they didn't commit and have to stand trial that have already taken years.

The Truth is Freedom

Sick or not, he is in a lot of trouble and many people are hoping he leaves this earth quickly to cover up their tracks.

This man is the fall guy for hundred of finianical sprukers that took money from mums and dads and many other repectibile institutions in the 90s and did not return it. The hundreds of sprukers that worked for him should also be hunted down.

Still nothing has been leant, finincial advisers are just as Irresponsible

As Rakesh is an Indian, therefore neither Thai nor Farang and as there are several Western hospitals in Bangkok, it should be easy enough to get an impartial opinion on his fitness or otherwise.

Rakesh's case is easy since it's not political... unless someone makes it political and make it difficult. Me, ordinary citizen, think the justice system should deal with it in straightforward way.
