Why does Suthep say: We aren't ready for an election yet

"Govt Manager" Suthep Thuaksuban has finally admitted -- just minutes ago -- that "My Democrat Party isn't ready for an election just yet."

Why? He added: "...because we still have many problems to solve."

Immediate reactions from cynics were almost unanimous: The Democrats are afraid to lose to Pheau Thai if a general election is to be held today.

But didn't PM Abhisit Vejjajiva just say that he was ready to dissove the House to hold a general election after the constitution is amended.

But Abhisit's statement wasn't unconditional. He said once all parties concerned could agree on how the charter was to be amended, a referendum would be held to ensure "public participation" in this vital process

Opposition Pheau Thai came out yesterday to insist that there was no need for a referendum -- and an election should be held immediatel after the charge changes were completed.

Obviously, the country's two main political parties stand on two opposite ends.

It doesn't matter who says what. The real story is: Thaksin's party wants a new poll to return them to power as soon as possible while Abhisit's Democrat Party and its coalition partners -- especially Newin Chidchob's Bhumjaithai Pty -- want to hold on to power for as long as possible.

Wch, when you turn to allegory (I assume that's what it is), I am totally lost. Just when I thought you were getting better I can't understand a word you are saying

I don't see any correlation between amending the constitution and having a GE right away.

Just wishful thinking on the part of thaksin and his crowd.

Why don't they want for there to be a referendum? Why am I not asked for my views and opinions in a National issue that will affect the way the country is governed in the future.

Or does puea thai/thaksin think that it's a political issue and doesn't involve the electorate. Where's the reconciliation? What purpose does the amending, revision, revocation, of the constitution do for me the electorate? What do I get out of it?

Democrats need not call for a GE after the constitutional changes; they can govern until the end of their term. Was there a rule that forces a GE after constitutional changes? But for me I'd have the democrats stay to complete their term. thaksin and puea thai can cry all they want, it don't make much matter!!

I think 4 years is no problem with the Democrat. Reasons are,

1. Newin faction is no way to run. If GE is out there, they are certainly butchered by Thaksin party. Also there are plenty of oily dinner tables from now on. Why do they kick turn over the tables ?

2. Constitution ?. AV offered two poisons. First is little mild one - charter writing assembly of general public. The piper is now refilling his pipe with ginseng exir.
The " Amatayan caucus " will consume time of another 5 years. This time they need more time because of difficult Japanese language (look at 1997 charter, British bread basket with French diamond cladded,,,bite and only break teeth). And,,, they will forget it finally.

Referandum will be quick drug like 'the speed' pill but AV will say "People does not want Thaksins" at the last on ballot turning out - pointing his thumb knife to slice his throat !

Thaksin problem is the parasetamol - The Red mat troop - lost power. Only money is guickly dry up.
Look at Yaopa, Her Suwannaphumi flying gold carpet is now starting a thread (Sathit is now angry !) and soon the heavy body will fall into Abudabi desert.

The demo's 'Cobra Dance' didnt even start, why do they have to roll mat ?

Suthep is so kind to say " We are not ready, cha cha. If you are in hurry, take the parasetamol,,,,???? Poison 1 or 2 Na ! Jaa !!

Dissolve the parliament ?.
They had better copy Russian style - bomb it !, It is much quicker.

PhD 80 people seems their wit dried up to outwit the merely graduate student - pmAV.
