Chamlong to abandon Govt House as protest site

Hit by a series of M79 grenade-launcher attacks in the past week, PAD leader Chamlong Srimuang told protestors today to evacuate the Government House compound and move to Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang sites "because we won't be sitting ducks for the armed attackers any more."

Govt House will remain a day-time protest site, he said, but protestors won't stay over night there anymore because it is no longer a safe place especially at night.

Chamlong yesterday submitted a letter to the director of Suvarnabhumi Airport asking him to reopen the airport "because the protestors have not interfered with the runway or control tower."

More than 45 aircraft out of 88 stranded at Suvarnabhumi have been last night and today flown out to pick up stranded passengers at other airports.

Perhaps if Chamlong stopped attacking public property and causing real and very substantial harm to others, those same others whom he has harmed would feel less inclined to attack his PADster sheep fodder.

Yoon,

I think you have posted the wrong picture, there's no more such scene at the government house. Distortion again to the public?

Yes fos so if the protester at GH or worried about been arrested they should just go home. In another country
I frequently mention sorry sul. They intentionally get arrested, It overwhelms the system and gives them a public forum in the courts, of course the courts there or very public not sure here.

Other than for safety reason, the forces are not thereat all 3 places….the protester have been separated into 3 places and is very obvious that the number of protester are getting smaller everyday and especially the GH. If the Police are to take action on it, it wouldn't be too difficult and so will happen to the 2 airports. So to strengthen the 2 airports, they have to centralize it to make it into a big crowd. Protesters refuse to move because they know at the 2 airports, it wouldn’t be too long before they will be arrested or disperse, they know they can’t hold the place like in the GH. For Chamlong, it’s a face saving tactic when they’re dispersed.

I can't see why they even leave guards there. No point
How can a few guards keep the government out. The story is at SUV and DM, IT seem to me that it would be better to focus on 1 site. Keeping you forces together.SUV is where the story is at. Abandon DM as well, The nation could restore commerce and ease opposition. SUV is Mr.T pride after all this is about him
this would put the focus back on the first cause of these problems. What do you arm chair generals think
put yourself into you enemy's position for a moment
