Hey……., you guys, fun festival is coming soon. C’mon…. It's Thai happy new year time. Don’t be like a lazy cat sleeping and groaning on the carpet, ignoring the exciting event outside. At least, Going temple and making merit would make auspicious period of life for Thai people. Anyhow, it is great opportunity for foreigners to learn the core of Thai traditional as well. For Thai people needing to make merit, excluding the temple around its neighborhood, Sanam Laung could be a choice, comfortable with their large filed and great Buddha images are prepared for Buddhist to pay respect; also they could provide alms to monk as the auspicious occasion. After that, joining the high light activity, surely, is water throwing. I am counting down the day of the fest with jumping heart. Splashing water around to others and preparing to protect myself from dirty guys (especially, dirty old men, hehehe^^) during the crowded avenue. But….where to go for the fun? KK Khaonhiew Road, downtown It is first choice. It’s cool because water buckets contained truck, water guns are allowed. People threw water to each other and no need to walk! But I am quite far KK right now, and bus ticket must be hardly available in this special holiday, so this choice is unavailable! So where to go? \\(*0*)// Chiangmai Around the canal of the downtown is so-called for its cool celebrating during the fest. So many young and foreigners plan going there for the fest joining. But it is too far from my place and the way going there must be crowded by millions cars, it would take three days to get to the province! , so this choice is impossible! So where to go?
The south; Phuket, Krabi, Pang-nga.etc Last two years, I was around Patong beach, Phuket. It’s fun. So much water splashed and I rarely saw people powdering white clay each other, and free water was available everywhere. Restaurants, hotels, shops, pubs and bars provided some cool water for travelers passing by its places. But water splashing was allowed only one day, 13th April. It’s too short! And I’ve been there already, so the south is not the choice. So where to go? BKK Kao San Road Rattanakosin Thong Lor Avenue Silom And…..hmm……and…..and”””^””? I am such a newly for BKK. I had been to Khaosan Road last year and it was absolutely boring! Not much water splashing and people were overcrowded. They just powdered others white clay chalks (mixed with water) and it made my hairs sticky. Also, the DailyXpress said that “Vehicles carrying buckets of water, water guns and people aiming to splash passers-by will lose their right to enter several http://nationmultimedia.com/2008/04/04/headlines/headlines_30070081.php
///~7~/// Oh, I think they should dedicate their times and staffs thinking for better way help solving accidents problems on the main roads instead. OOP! Sorry, may be I say too much…^^ Where to go? I asked my friends and one said gathering and making water splash in front of the PM’s house would be cool! Some journalists may notice and video us on air!….. According to the answer I assumed that she didn’t have any good ideas.^^ So…where to go? Do you have any others recommended fun points for water splashing in BKK? Where do people usually go? Or at least, tell me where you are going this long holiday as it might help me think a good idea out! ===== \(~o~)/ """ ""' ...........
