woo!!! I GRADUATED

Yesterday was the last day of this semester, which means, the last day of my life in university. Time really flies fast!

----

---

Last month, pile textbooks were the only things that I and my friends saw and be with everyday and night. Read and made short notes, tried to understand this and that, remembered grammar structure of English, tutoring and blah blah….

The feeling after I finished the last examination in undergraduate student life was really good.

“NO MORE TESTS….” I shouted out loud in front of the test room (but I did it in my mind..hehehehe)

What to do after test? Sure, we have to take a rest! May be we are getting older now. We (students) used to prefer movie going, strolling around department stores and shopping, for instance.  But this time, it seems all of us prefer enjoy nature and peace, all of us agreed to go to Ubonrat dam, one of a tourist places, 40 minutes drive from Khon Kaen city.

---

---

But the dam was not only one destiny for us.  Not far from the Dam, only 15 minute drive, there was an attractive place where we can swim and delicious food is available. Local call it “Bang San 2”  (though there is no white sand beach ^^)

--

--

(especailly, northeastern food cuz here is KK^^)

----

Some of us like swimming, banana boat, while some preferred sleeping.  But a moment while I sitting alone seeing my friends enjoy swimming, I realized the end of the exam and university was not the end of learning. Graduate from university was not the hardest part of life.  After this, may be there were some obstacles waiting me somewhere unexpected.

---

(this hut is the most oldest one^^)

---

Some said the life in university is the most and last fun period of life. After students are accepted by an office or organization, its life will be changed or they have to change. No more weakness, no teachers but must be strong, dedicated for work and self reliant.

---

---

Another journey of my life has just begun, that is a journey to find job..hehehe..on Monday, I’ll be in BKK for second job interview in my life. Before back to resident in campus, we went to Laung Por To Temple, not far from Bang San 2, to make worship and prayed for best luck.  Hope you all make a wish help me to get the job as well…haha^^

---

---

p.s. the place may be simple but good to take a rest for awhile when you pass by KK.

You seem yet to find the meaning of "Recall Service". Once I had to pay the hefty bloody 3500 dollars extra tuition for the missing two credits until they mailed me the funny paper of graduation cert.

No one wanted to see it until a girl demanded it, now my wife. I gave it to her. After several years, I found it missing von boyage stamp from the envelope, and I asked her, expecting the well known hall mark logo running around the paper,
"Have you read it ?", "Not Yet but the stamp was so so beautiful !".

My wife was missed on the 'Seven wonder' graduation ceremony presided by -. with KKU for her, another degree. On the day, we had second daughter. She competely forgot to claim the silk folder for a year. One day, She called to the faculty office, "Would you kindly mail it to me ?".

After a month It arrived while we lesurely sat under
kiosk, I called my son " Bring me a scissor. I like to have the king's stamp".

My wife quickly hid it out of my hand. Later found it in envelope, with mine, our children's kindergarten diploma papers ?. The folder keep tightly all of them !.

Funny ?

Share your experiences at your new job with us here! It's going to be so interesting! I remember my first job lasted 5 amazing years when i was always wishing for a better one! I had to quit to raise my kid, and i don't regret working for that first job anyway. It was tough but very good experience for me.

Congratulations!

I recall celebrating after receiving my first university degree like you: no more tests, no more boring classes, no more egotistical professors, etc. Unfortunately, life is full of its own tests, boring activities & egotistical push to go to graduate school in an attempt to upgrade your credentials and earning capability! Enjoy the brief respite for now and sorry to be such a downer...

Thank you K’Jira and Ian
After read your comments, I’ve realized how much important this period of life.
Though it was a long time ago, you both can remember it quite well..cool.. so many thing occurred in my students life and I wrote some stories here (in my blog) may be next 5 years if the Nationblog is still run by the same system, I would enjoy reading my old stories and colorful memories. Ian, the funny thing is that I don’t have any choice for my career now…haha the only one things I know is that I’ll do my best on my career. Let’s see which job I’ll get….in next week or next month or may be next five months ^^

50 years ago I was just about to graduate from my first degree. At that time it was a very important event in my life.
Now 50 years later I have but very dim memories of that time, my college no longer exists, I lost my certificate somewhere in my travels, no photos, it is as if the event never happened:-)
The funny thing is it has never mattered, when you first start your career that piece of paper is very important, but as your career progresses it become less and less important. What becomes important is you CV (resume if American), in other words what you have accomplished.
Think of your degree as permission to put a foot on the ladder, what becomes important is how high up the ladder you can climb.
What I am saying in a round about way is that your future career choices are as important as your degree.

I can feel that you are very happy for finishing your study. It's a very good time to celebrate. I had the same feeling 15 years ago (that's long, uh?). But after years pass by, I have recently thought back to my university life and remembered all good things over there. Yes, it's one of the best times in my life.

I am sure that you still have many things to learn in a working world. Keep up your good work! and again congratulation! You are deserved it!
