Only two minutes walking from BTS- Phaya Thai station, with my big back page from Khon Kaen, finally I arrived at the Suan Pakkad Palace Museum, this trip destination at late morning. My tiredness ran out after I took a deep breath while strolling along the way leading to the center of the museum where my friends waiting.

Surprisingly, the museum surrounding was green and made me feel fresh as if I was in a park.

The Suan Pakkad Palace Museum or Wang Suan Pakkad, located on Sri Ayudhya Road, Bangkok, used to be the house of their Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Chumbhot of Nagara Svarga. They decided to open the house full with collection of antiquities for people to visit in 1952.  It was the first museum, converted from house, opened while the owners were still living in.

Walking a minutes, I saw several Thai houses which were hard to find nowadays. Once I dreamed to have a house in Thai style but later  dismissed the dream when I knew about its price!!

I was told that there were 8 Thai houses in this museum, and it was designed in different styles. I thought all of them were beautiful. While walking and taking photo around the houses, I saw a 5-6 foreigners enjoying around.  I think some of you used to go there also.

I think the museum was not only good for foreigners but also Thai people. If you don’t have much time, you can have fun with family at the place in the weekend. If I had a child, I would bring them to learn about Thai culture there. It would be great!

Actually, I thouht it doesn’t like a museum.  I felt like I was visiting somebody's house. You can paddle Thai boat here also.

The model of boat in the past, I am not sure which kind of wood it made from, may be it made from teak. Those paddles with Thai painting looked old but beautiful.(for me)

Some paddles with Thai painting used with boats in the palace in the past.

Today I am quite tired, there are more about Wang Suan Pakkad through the len of my camera but until next time!
