While I have been  worried for cyclone victims in Burma, another worries come into my mind in the past couple of days; Political situation of Thailand..

Firmly holding political ego, greed and selfishness by individual, political parties and groups will Push Thailand into danger.

Whether we like it or not, the reality is that Asia is different from the  West  culturally, socially, traditionally, philosophically and politically in the core.

We all need to be careful our words and action  become narrow minded intellectually or non-intellectually.

solve problems for post Thaksin political arena in Thailand . But I know only one thing. That is togetherness.

There is no single solution to

All politician, groups, different social and intellectual  class in Thailand should stop thinking the perception of "us" against "them".

There is no "us" and "them".

There is only "WE" that created Thailand's success stories.

It is the perception of "WE" that will make a politically stable Thailand which will bring foreign investment, business for the people for all walks of lives.

It is the action of "WE" that have made Thailand a prosperous nation.

Only willingness to compromise from all Thai politicians, public, media and having the mindset of "WE" will bring socially and politically divided Thai together.

I wish all Thai to have the perception of "WE-ness" in their mind and action.

Especially those greedy politician, academia, intellectual , media and the rich are more responsible groups as they are most influence on shaping Thai society.

The success of Thailand is very important not only for Thai people but also for the rest of the region as we do need politically stable  Thailand, economically and socially stronger a modern Siam in this region.

Don't hold your breath, brethren. "We-ness" may become "common-ness" which may evolved into "commune-ness" and then eventually into "Communism." We do not need this in this country, or any country.

Sure, 'WE-ness' is a good concept, but how?

How do we fight the human nature of 'greed' and 'selfishness' and promote 'WE-ness'?

To supress the selfiness and promote the 'WE-ness', we need a common factor, or factors. ie, religion, culture, language, etc etc...

But most importantly, we need common values. Values that are agreed by all the people.

In some countries, these agreed values are written in holy books. Some countries have these values written in their law books. Most have both books.

Thailand MUST have this, in order to have the 'WE-ness'. So far, I don't think Thailand has either.

The concept of US and THEM starts in the home, is reinforced in the school and village, by the time they are adult it is firmly established. It is based on class, wealth and patronage.
Only a major cultural revolution will change this.
