UN, SHAME ON YOU! Children are starving to death!

It has been more than 2 weeks by now that Cyclone Nagris hit in Burma.

News from CNN read "Thousands of children in Myanmar will starve to death in two to three weeks unless food is rushed to them"

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/05/18/myanmar.ap/index.html?iref=topnews

This is not a natural disaster anymore. This is man made catastrophe, inhumane negligence, mass murder and crime against humanity in a very wide scale.

What is holding or blocking the world body UN to take effective action in saving lives in Burma?

Until now, We do not see any effective disaster relief and rescue efforts to save people trapped at delta region inside Burma.

UN is still talking, still discussing what to do the best despite international aid agencies and experts serious  repeated warnings for what is happening and what will happpen next  in the worst affected area if we do not take a swift action.

SHAME ON YOU UN!!  Shame on you US, UK, France, Russia, China and India. Do you still think yourselves economic, military or population super powers of the world? You may possess all those power but if you fail to possess  a basic human quality of  moral standard ,you are not different from the rest of the world. In fact it might be even worse if you abuse your power to  manupulate and play millions of people lives. especially this is more for China and Russia's act.

Presidents and prime ministers of all those countries, do you call yourselves world leaders ? Failure to save thousands of children, failure to intervene to do humanitarian efforts will make you same moral standard as Gen Than Shwe and military regime of Burma.

Asian and their leaders are so weak not only in many area, but also their moral standard and willingness to involve in Burma issue. You all can do a lot better than what is Burma today and what it happening now.

We all notice that not many shocking news, images, video clips and stories are coming out of delta region in the last few days. Burma cyclone  disaster news has disappeard from the  international media headline news and international attention except  in Thailand as it  is closely wathing the developments in Burma.

Do all those "world leaders" and UN know or pretend not to know that now news doesn't mean everything is fine in Burma?

Don't they  see this is emergency issue of deciding who lives and who dies for hundreds and thousands of people lives?

I have no doubt you all know the actual facts and what is really going on there.

In reality, your effective action will only speak louder than your words in saving lives.

Forget about consequence of your own interest or complicaton of political, economic and international relationships when saving lives.

If you all fail to stop this man made catastrophe in Burma, you arr accountable too as the world body & world super powers.

Your moral value and responsibilities is now put into test in the humanitarian ground of Burma.

UN and the world leaders, please help  the children in Burma right now. because you could.

PS: Mean time, the United Nations' chief humanitarian officer, John Holmes, is in Yangon to discuss with generals as well as  ASEAN Ministerial  are meeting in Singapore  to discuss about Burma as i speak right now. Based on the facts of what happened in the past in Burma, I have  too little  hope of out come and  effective action from their discussions.

The situation in the relief camps is getting a bit nasty. They are like the concentration camps, you are not allowed out, no visitors allowed and not enough food. And there are rumors that the refugees will be sent back to the villages with just bags of rice...no shelters buit for them, no nothing, nothing for them to do...the land has soaked up salt water and will not be arable for between 3 to 6 yrs. They will need genetically engineered rice seeds which can grow in saline ground plus special ferilizers, plus training...who is going to give them that - their eastern border friends??

Thailand has the right to rescue their cousins in Burma.

Terasserum people and Shan people.

Without permission from the Junta, any intervention by the UN or any other nation is an act of war. Such a war would inevitably also cause thousands of deaths (colateral damage). The end result would be killing thousands to rescue thousands, a catch 22 situation.

Now Burma is paying the price for the 'eastern border syndrome' and all the shit splurted out by the insurgents. Now the government thinks anyone who wants to get into Burma is a possible insurgent supporter.

PS Why don't you tell them why Aung San Suu Kyi now has a lot to answer for?

In fact, all the hard line talk from the KNU and other instigators in Mae Sot etc, plus the sanctions that the KNU, NLD and other hard liners have advocated in the past rather than dialogue, is coming back to haunt them.

Your anger comes from Knowing this.
