The light from the Sun doesn't reach the Earth instantly, but it takes certain amout of time for the light to travel from where it originated, and to where we are. It is commonly believed that such time is 8 minutes. However, that is not exactly true. 8 minutes is the time it takes a photon to travel the distance equal to the distance between the Sun and the Earth. But it is not the time it takes to travel from where it originated, which is in the Sun, and to Earth. There's a difference. A photon is created at the heart of the Sun, and it takes several years for a photon to break free from the Sun's gravity and wiggle its way out of the Sun's surface. Countless number of photons are trapped around the core of the Sun, and at any given moment, a certain amount of them will escape the holding force of the Sun, and start its long journey into the outerspace, shining down on everything it touches along the way. We all have the desire to escape. To go outside. And I've noticed different people have different level of desire. Some wants to escape real bad, some not to eager. And I've noticed that it is only those who put in EXTRA effort, Who gets to break free from the holding force of our society. IF you have a chance to go outside. Go. Go out and see the world. Shine down on everything you touch. All that you see. All that you taste, all you feel. But if you don't have the chance, go and MAKE the chance. |
