Someone had a bright idea about going to 'Dream World' and someone thought it was a good idea... both would suffer the consequences... My wife suggested we go to Dream World, and I and SEY jumped up and down, and before long, we were packed and on our way to Rangsit. It was 1.30 PM, and the Sun was REAL hot... the thermometer in the car was reading 38... I was worried it might be too hot for us, but as we neared Rangsit area, there was black cloud hanging over the amusement park. My first reaction was, 'Good... It'll be cooler with them clouds...' And it was... and may be it was a bit too cool... because soon, small drops of rains started coming down, and just as we parked our car, it was starting to rain. Still, we were thinking it's going to pass soon, and it'll be cooler afterwards... And just like we predicted, it stopped raining only after 15 minutes... So we got down and bought the entrance tickets and enterd the park. I only came here once before... and it was so long ago, I don't even remember when... It was pretty ok... SEY's eyes were open wide... a country boy, coming to amusement park for the first time... And just as we had bought our first ticket for our first ride, it started to rain... and rain... and rain... it was raining so hard, we got all wet, despite the fact that we were covered under a roof.... the rain was coming from the sky, from the left, and from the right. And it started to flood! We waited for a full hour, and there was no sign of rain going away, so we braved the rain and ran towards the exit... In the end, we had wasted almost a thousand Baht and didn't even get to ride anything!! My son was so disappointed... I should have just gone for the Thomas ride.... Anyway, it was pretty awful... May I'll try again next year. So quick, the weekend has come. And I'm thinking hard what I should do today and tomorrow. Should I take my family shopping? Eat out? 'Thomas' ride? SEY has been singing about 'boats' the whole morning, but I don't know any safe boat rides around town... besides, it'll be too hot for baby SEIN... Thomas ride sounds like the best option... it's cool, it's safe, and it's cheap. Or should I drive to the beach at Cha-Am? But there will be too many people there, as it's a long holiday... Still, Thomas is better option... the city will be deserted today... Thomas ride it is. Once my wife wakes up, we'll pack up and go for the Thomas ride. ^^ |
