warmness is luxury

Of all the things I’ve believed in
I just want to get it over with
Tears form behind my eyes, but I do not cry
Counting the days that pass me by

I’ve been searching deep down in my soul
Words that I’m hearing are starting to get old
Goodbye to everything I thought I knew
You were the one I loved
The one thing that I tried to hold on to

I still get lost in your eyes
And it seems that I can’t live a day without you
Closing my eyes and you chase my thoughts away
To a place where I am blinded by the light
But it’s not right
And it hurts to want everything and nothing at the same time
I want what’s yours and I want what’s mine
I want you
But I’m not giving in this time

When two people are in love, they are eager to have more sweet kisses. But why they are in quarrel, they are hurting each other by the mouths that once used for kissing?

--because the feeling has gone, has gone…

My dear, to live in a world without you is more painful than any punishment. Do you know that no one can replace you in my heart? You are lucky, because you can choose to like me or dislike me, but I only have to choose from loving you or loving you more. Love you, think of you, love you secretly, eagerly love you, wait, feel disappointed, try hard, lose, and feel sad, go apart, and recall. All of these are for sake of you, and I will never regret for it.

I guess that this is where we’ve come to. When I feel hurt and my tears are going to drop, I will just look up and have a look at the sky once belongs to us. I will hide my storm-like love in my heart just not to give you any pressure. If you leave me, please don't comfort me because each sewing has to meet stinging pain...

Warmness is luxury—which is reflected by deep cold and hurt...

sleepless at night!

Kipling is interesting.
His reflection can be seen in some Nation bloggers .

The first peom I ever had to learn was when I was in the first grade. I still remember it. Our British compatriots can join in any time they like....

"Listen my children and you shall hear
of the midnight ride of Paul Revere
On the 18th of April in '75
Hardly a man is now alive
who remembers that famous day and year

He said to his friends if the British march
By land or sea from the town to-night,
Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch
Of the North Church tower as a signal light, --
One, if by land, and two, if by sea;
And I on the opposite shore will be,
Ready to ride and spread the alarm
Through every Middlesex village and farm,
For the country folk to be up and to arm."

There's more to it but this is all we had to learn. I don't know why but this poem has never left my brain. The other one that I think is the best poem ever written was "IF" by Rudyard Kipling. I never had to learn it but it was on a card I received from my grandmother when I made my Confirmation. I still love that poem even today.

peacefulness, c5, thanks.

In my primary and secondary education, I was made to read and recite many Chinese poems. There are only few I can remember. But I say some are really good and have embedded in my mind till this day.

Anyway, I want to post this poem in Chinese which I have modified one of Li Bei's (李白). I think it's relevant to her case. If 123456 would care to translate using her English skill, it would be nice. Here it is:

君不見黄河之水天上來, 奔流到海不復回?
君不見高堂明鏡悲白髪, 朝如青絲暮成雪?
人逢不意莫流恋, 莫使時光返倒流
天生我材必有用, 柔情散盡還復來!

123456, there was a time when you wrote a poem-like entry, people worried that you might commit suicide. You see how sentimental and caring people are? I didn't then because I'm pretty good in reading character in the way they write.

Having said that, I think you should ask some bloggers here to critique, people like: catch22, noonin, Ian, Max, lonewolf, lurker, gg, netapit, dryshrimp stalingrad, panya, etc.

You can forget about happyjack and me. happyjack may be good for rap and hip-hop. I am totally useless in anything except having been married for 40 years!

What hurts you, blesses you.
Darkness is your candle.
Your boundaries are your quest.

I can explain this, but it would break
the glass cover on your heart,
and there's no fixing that.

Sorry for being insensitive, but who died?

If she's practicing her poetry skill, she's done very well. From a foreign student from China to a suffering poet... Well done.

Her words are very powerful, meaning, the poem strongly affects the mood of the readers.

After reading the poem, the readers run the risk of hanging themselves. The poems are THAT depressing.

If there was a contest for 'Most Depressing Poem', she will get gold medal for sure.

As a fellow blogger, I have no more comments on her writings, except that I'm anxious to see how her writing changes once she has a new boyfriend.

Alien 1: I agree. Also, think that you have a limited number of days left on this earth, and need to do so many things to improve your well being and that of others (family, society, next generation, etc.), while you have the strength and energy. Then, any depression and dark feelings will be gone as you'd simply have no time for them.

Here's an American poem for her (I just made it up)

Don't know why I'm sad, I'm down in the pits

It can't be my face, I do not have zits

I do get my sleep and plenty of rest

I do not know why I'm always depressed

I went to the doctor, said what do you think

I don't drown my troubles with alcohol drink

He said I have something so you won't feel ill

So three times a day take this one little pill

So now I can grow and I will know when

I'll change my name to 8, 9 and 10!

Alien, 123456 is practicing to become a poet.

I wonder how much she knows about Chinese poems.

123456, can you post some Chinese poems?

123456 - Are you in a permanent melancholy state?
They have pills you can take. Try to cheer up (even if it's with chemical asistance) and move on with your life. Life sucks being so sad all of the time. Be proactive! Do something to improve your mental health!
