My First Presentation for Listening& Speaking Class

I am the person who like writing more than speaking, and I am a bit shy when I speak in front of the others.

Last night I prepared for my presentation for today unitl 12:30pm. I didn't make sense about it. Then I asked myself, " come on! what happened? You got A- from Public Speaking class which is an advanced subject. Listening class is just a basic subject. Why ?"

When I woke up around 4am, I suddenly got aspiration. I immediately got up and stood in front of mirror. Closed my eyes and recalled the methods that A.Nida and A.Supalak teach me. When I opened my eyes again, I started to practice without any notes, only gaze at myself from the mirror. Struggle again!  I told myself, " You must do it well to show your prove of A- from Public Speaking; otherwise you must shut up!Never tell anyone you got A degree from A.Nida" ...

I don't want to do that. Never!

Yes, our group was the first one to do presentation. After my friend gave introduction, my teacher asked her to do again without any note. I could see all classmates become nervous. I immediately picked up my drinking water to release my tension. When I presented, I looked my teacher sometimes, and she smiled to me.... Wooo, I could present without any notes ne.....*_*

Later my teacher gave us good comment*_* She said that it was a very good presentation! Yes, even though I still have other 2 presentation, I believe that I can do them well now.

I always dream of improving my speaking skill, so I sure to put more effort to each presentation.

---I like to record my school life. What I have had in my university will be part of treasure in my life....

--Just want to have one cup of coffee later...sleepy ne -_-!

Keep walking forward. Don't give up. Don't fed up.

Crying doesn't help dismiss the weak point of yours. For me, I will try do the thing I am afraid off frequently. Though, people laugh at my fault, it doesn't matter if I don't care. I think that one day; victory will be mine, victory beyond my fear and I. You know I used to be like you. And at the moment, it is still the same, but my feeling is changed; I feel that the fear is decreasing day by day…..I beleive it will be disappear oneday.

If you are afraid on your first time to face it you will never know how good you are and if you don't enter the second challenge, how do you become prefect? Our biggiest fear is not what we learn is fear of people judging us...and that's the first thing we have to overcome

I now how you feel. I was always reasonably confident but when I did my first adult class, I was shaking like a leaf. I've come to realise that even confident people can be nervous in unfamiliar situations. It's natural. Keep up the good work!

I'm sure you'll do better next time but you already got good feedback from your lecturer so that's something. Preparation is an important step. If you've done enough, it's only 50% work left.
Nice idea to keep your university days on your blog.
